This dropped yesterday. I didn't win the roll, but I really wonder whether this would be better than

which I already have. You lose 120 armor (over 700 on druid bear) and 25 stam but gain all that resist. With around 25K armor, the main damage I take is from spells, not melee. Has anyone done a direct comparison of the two in action?

The other cloak that I had was

That has less armor and stam than the thoriumweave, but has defense, that neither of these others do. I'd be interested in other opinions of these choices for a fat druid bear.

Anyone notice this item has wrong spelling, it supposed to be "Sarannis" instead of "Syrannis".

Does this thing drop every time you kill her? I have actually had two of these drop at the same time. Every time I've ever killed her, one has dropped.

We've all seen some bad itemization from Blizzard, but WTF were they thinking with this cloak? It's a *resist cloak* with *high armor* and *no stam*.

Edit: not only that, but as another commenter pointed out, they misspelled the name of the boss this drops from on the item.

This + 7 resist, VE-shoulder enchant, Imp. MotW and Band of many prism gives a total of 70 to resist all. Toss in Balance of Power, and your panzer owl will deflect many a spell in PvP.

Been working on a resist set for Nature and Frost for Hyjal and SSC, this cloak is vary nice.
Yes good for a druid, but also good for a warrior! ;]

Put +5 resist on it right away, makes for an excellent all purpose tanking back. Since a druid will always have mark up, this will put me at +42 to all resists and the high armor count gives over 1000 armor in bear form.

No defense I can understand - it has resistances, but .. no stamina? There are better tanking cloaks out there.

This item has appeal to the mage of mine with Magic absorbtion. Every time i resist magic i get 5% of my mana back making life a lot smoother with less downtime. If i put the +7 resist to all plus my mage armor with no other resist gear at all i'm up to 37 resist to all. Better than a manapot.

Got this for magic resist tanking. Enchanted it (pricey mats!).
Usually i equip it with old Heart of Mountain trinket (+6 to all) and Band of Many Prisms ring (+10 to all). With MotW it is 12+7(enchant)+5+10+14 =48 resist to all. Not bad!

Equipped this cloak once in BG and saw a lot of resisted spells on me. Seems high +spell hit rating is not common.

And by the way if you need more magic protection:
Crafters can create special sets with Fire, Arcane and Frost resists. Usual it is chest, legs and boots.
4-pieces +200 fire resist set sells for only 100 Heroic badges.

spell hit doesn't help against resistances..that'd be spell penetration.

This is useful cloak.

I'm using it for Offtanking Frost/Nature Adds on the Hydross fight in SSC.
i recommend every (Off)Tank, to get this cloak. especially if your guild is about to start in SSC.

Anyone else understand why Syrannis' Mystic Sheen drops from Commander Sarannis? Don't you think she'd be upset her name was spelled wrong on her cloak?
