This is actually better than the epic Violet Eye tanking ring for a warrior, while they're both good, the defense and dodge on this are what makes it superior.

I have run this god forsaken instance like 25 times now and i still havent seen this drop, i wonder if they have removed it

This ring compares very well to many purple rings, which tend to have armor rating, block rating or block value, all of which are nice, but IMO don't give as much return to the tank under the ilevel system and sta, def rating and dodge rating.

Unfortunately the drop rating is a bit low and it's off the last boss of one of the longer 5-mans. Still a great item considering how relatively easy it is to get and how long you'll use it.

I think a mistake a lot of tanks make when picking rings/capes/trinkets etc is they base it on what's better than what? When really you should base it on, what's more usefull for where? Fights which need more physical mitigation, and where avoidance, although helpful, isn't as critical, (such as Gruul) would be better suited for the Armor rings, such as the badge reward/Violet eye rings. Fights which avoidance wins on, such as prince (to avoid heavy spike damage in Phase 2) this ring would win. So even though I now have the Violet eye ring, I'd still keep this with me at all times just due to the nice amount of stam and avoidance it provides.

Droped last night for me.

It seems the ring has a bit lower drop rate then the other items (ran arc till almost exalted). But besides that it is deff worth picking up for the great stats. Just keep running it and it will eventually drop.

Absolutely great ring.
It´s my last blue that´s still lasting simply because most of the epic tanking rings are as mentioned above very much the same. The combination of defense and dodge are great and I still haven´t found an epic combination that´s better considered how it affect the rest of my gear. The Stamina is a bit low but you can´t have anything. Great ring that will last you for a very long time.

Yeah I think this is better than the heroic token turnin ring. The dodge rating and def plus good stam make this a very very good tanking ring. To bad it hasnt dropped in 6 runs.

Actually I saw the hallowed crown and chestplate of the bold drop today so its not always one set and one not.

1% dodge is everything in raids though. When the boss your fighting is landing 5000 (or 18000 damage in gruuls) damage a shot, thats .5% reduction on damage from that 300 armor is going to be 25 damage reduction. Whereas if you dodge it, its 0 damage taken. I would take 1% dodge over 7 stam and 300 armor easy, unless perhaps if I were a druid, as they have an absolutely huge armor and hp boost in bear forms.

i would use this over the other ring if i need the avoidence, if i already hit my 102.4, then ill use the stam ring. its all about what your other items give. and 1% dodge is alot

Gonna replace the Ring of Unyielding Force with this one. I have enough def rating and really need to up my avoidance more so this one feels like a slightly better choice. I am aiming to replace my avoidance trinkets with some stamina ones (the Darkmoon Faire card/trinket from heroic MaT) so the stamina loss doesn't feels so huge in the long run.
