Does anyone think I would be better off replacing my Thunderfury with this? I am talking threat wise, do not take in account the extra stamina and dodge given from this sword in your analysis.

Has anyone upgraded an enchanted Fireguard or Blazeguard? I was wondering if the enchantment is blown by the upgrade. I am assuming it is. :(

If your a Master Swordsmith, its your weapon.... if not, it isn't.

And for people respeccing to make this just a word of advice

a) Make sure your rich as hell, its gonna cost you A LOT to make and thats without the cost of skilling up.
b) Make sure your even more rich, the plan is probably gonna cost half the mats.... unless you want to be the first one with it, in that case its gonna go on AH for like 3x the mat cost.

But if the plan is BoP you can scratch part b).... but if it is a reward from a questline its likely they will charge you for it in one way or another.

Rouge, Hunter and Fury warrior weapon....its the same so stop arguing about it....these classes want the same things on weapons...so it doesnt make a difference. Altough it isnt even bad for tanking.

I'm a Pally, and just wanted a kickbum sword.
Yeah I know we should stick to maces and crap, but this is a great sword with nice dps, spped and looks to boot!

dude, it is not part of a rogue set, it requires master swordsmith and 375 BS to wield, not part of set

I have just created this weapon, on the medivh server. LVL 67 warrior. now I need to get to lvl 70 ..... I am also farming the mats to go back and create Fire Guard over again so that I can to ultiamtly duelwield version 3 and version 2 of this weapon... I hope it works out... I will post when I get the version 1 Fire Guard completed to let everyone know if it allows you to have version 2 and go back to creat version 1 to duelwield.

I can't believe people are fighting about what classes this is for. the speed is for a fury warrior. Since their skills are based on weapon speed. The stats are hunter or rogue because those 2 are prime stats for both. Warriors do not gain AP from agility but both hunter and rogue do. Warriors still get defensive bonuses though. Personally I will try it in my main hand, if it's less damage then my grandmarshals then I will off hand it. until I can get a Felsteel longblade, arena slicer or the highest version of this sword. I'd say arena weapon is the easiest though.

Whats most important is that this is my sword... Or will be.

Guess what? This sword is not for a Warrior. Not for a Hunter. Not for a Rogue. Not for a Paladin.

This sword is for ANYONE who wants to skill up Blacksmithing, farm the mats and craft the damned thing. Why do you people waste time with all this bull**** arguing about WHO it's for? It's a god damned game people. This item doesn't drop. It doesn't have a class restriction. IT'S CRAFTED. LET IT GO.

I swear to god... everytime I come here to look items up and pause to see if there is any constructive information on any item, all I see is this crap and reading it causes me to lose IQ points.

( ...and yes, I know that the Primal Nether are drops. But if you have a reasonable argument with your guild for what you are using them for, so be it.)

Well, considerin we have a few more weeks to wait, I say its both.

Considering as hunters and Rogues, we tend to fight over the same weapons, or if you are a two hand-weapon wielding hunter like myself, then Wars and Hunters tend to fight over weapons.

Which is rather unfortunate because it cuases a lot of hostilities between the three classes that we really just don't need.

So my pronouncement?

Its a Combat Weapon (Rogue/Hunter/Warrior) not a 'Caster' (Priest/Mage/Lock/Paladin) weapon.

This is basically the weaker version of the Blazefury. Stats are basically the same.. and they look pretty similar. Blazefury is more glorified though :)

The dark picture with the green glow, is wrong sword. That is the 1st one, Fireguard.

Anyone know if it is possible to wield both Blazeguard AND Blazefury at the same time? Because even tho one is the upgraded version of the other, and UNIQUE, they're NOT the same sword.
Anybody confirm?

First of all it would be amazing to get 1h epix like these for a non raiding, solo/pvp fury warrior like me.
Second freaking fast means alot of interupts vs casters like locks or priest(mages should learn when to not use cast time spells)
It also gives a more continously stream of rage gained,thus giving you more controll of when you can do this and that.
Unless you are using MS fast atkspeed isnt bad at all...
For rogues its a different matter( insta wepdmg atks)

I'm a prot warrior & have the 1st version of this sword (fireguard) & very happy about it. Tanking & aggro gaining both have gone better since I crafted this bad boy.

Now, for my question.
Is there a better tanking weapon around I've missed out on? Craftable or otherwise..

Amazingly enough, this got buffed w/ patch 2.1, and also the amount of primal nethers needed to make it got nerfed. =) Just made mine yesterday...best tank weapon pre-SSC imo.

If you upgrade your fireguard to this to you lose the enchant on the fireguard? I assume you do but haven't tried it.

Yes the Enchant is removed upon upgrading the weapon.

Also, does anyone know if this sheathes on your hip or back?

Yes, you can change from armorsmithing to weaponsmithing in Iron Forge for Alliance players. Then you have to travel to Winterspring and choose a specific: Swords, Maces, or Axes. Travel back to Iron Forge and you should now be able to train to make this (assuming you are a high enough level blacksmith).
