These are techincally the best throwing weapons in the game. Pretty expensive, but they pull off THE best Deadly Throws. Better even than the gladiator ones.

These are hardly "expensive" if you happen to know a 375 Miner/Blacksmither. The primals are nothing compared to some of the other 350+ specialized weapons that blacksmiths can make, knothide leather isnt that hard to come by if you (yourself as a rogue) happen to be skinner. The felsteel bars are probably the most expensive material next to the primal fire because they require 3 fel iron bars and 2 eternium bars. This would go around 50-150g on an auction to just get a frame of what you would expect to pay for these (40g for 2 primal fire, 30g for 2 air, 2-5g for knothide, and anywhere from 15-45g for the 6 felsteel bars).

As previously stated, these have the highest base damage, giving you the ability to score the highest deadly throws as a rogue.

Everyone is saying these are the best for deadly throw and for the most part they are correct, but not because of the topend damage though that is part of it.
The min vs max damage 139-140 is the reason that this thrown weapon is simply one of the best, it has a higher low end damage range than any other thrown weapon currently even the Gladiator's War Edge which has a low end of 135.
These are an amazingly consistent thrown weapon, you have a 50% chance of hitting as hard as possible with every throw.

DT isnt normalized so speed plays a huge part, thats y these hit so much harder then glad's

36 Fel Iron Ore
24 Eternium Ore

Eternium can be pretty pricey, which makes these quite costly to make.

The stats on this weapon are also very good. Everythign a Fury warrior or Rogue would ever want.

Just an interesting thing to note - this ranged weapon doesn't actually lose durability when you die. At least it hasn't for me, over about 5 deaths now.

This _could_ be because I have 1/350 Thrown but I doubt it. The item does have a huge durability (240/240) so that might be a hint to it's indestructible nature!

Normally these sell for roughly 130 gold on most servers, just so you know a rough price to expect.

Ehm, you wrote that this is expensive.. well , your right, they are expensive to make vs the profit when selling them. a primal fire is around 30g and two of those are needed , and then there are two primal Air altso two of those are needed the price tag is around 30g too for primal air, thats 120g right there depending on the server your on, add the heavy knothide leather at 3g 50s each x4 and you got 14g 50s right there, do the total math and suddenly it costs more to make then people are willing to pay for it. I think that the price of 100g are only worth it if you farm the materials as a blacksmith and have an alt that is a skinner/lw that can mail you the rugged leather, otherwise its simply not worth it. I just thought i would add this little thing to what people write.. since its very relevant when considering the price of the knife/knives.

Now that the Gladiator weapon is available for only 8,000 honor and 10 eye tokens (as of 2.3), I don't see any reason to buy these. They cost a lot to make considering they are easily replaced by something that is so easy to get through PvP.

Found these at the IF AH and bought them immediately for my Combat Dagger Rogue. Great dps, and the speed allows you to get three hits on mobs (if you run backwards in mid-throw) before they close with you. Great for pulling, disrupting casters, etc. Love the fact that you don't have to buy ammo as well (max throws of 240 before you run out and have to "repair") armor.

I have a problem, every time an epic one drops for me, I can't find it in me to replace these for said epic. I'm a warrior and the 3 equips just seem superior to anything that drops or any I find when searching for new ones, except for that junkbox one... f***ing rogues...

Anyone else have this problem, or is it just me and my nubliness? :P

I use these on my fury warrior and they are very nice.

I can also craft them (that's where I got mine) on Firetree, horde side. If you need some, whisper Uoyredrum and I can make some for you, with mats and a small fee.

Awesome raiding throwing weap for warriors and rogues. Great for PvE, lack of stam makes it kind of weak for PvP, the one from mech would better serve that purpose.

This for me is trained at the Blacksmith trainer in Thrallamar. Not sure where for alliance this would be trained but I would assume Honor Hold.

Not sure how much effect the hit rating and critical strike rating will have... But I guess every rogue should have these!

36 Fel Iron Ore
24 Eternium Ore
20 Motes of Air
20 Motes of Fire
5 Knothide Leather

Those are the bare-bottom basic components of making this thing.

2 fel iron/eternium ores go into making 1 bar of their respective type.

3 Fel Iron Bars and 2 Eternium Bars = 1 Felsteel Bar.

10 motes = 1 whole Primal.

5 Knothide Leather = 1 Heavy Knothide Leather.

Now you know the exchanges. Gather what you can and AH the remainder. GL with the ores if you're not a miner though, they're selling for quite a bit right now....

Great item for rogues, now that we've got Deadly Throw. And yes rogues, DT can actually be really useful ;)

Often hit for 500-1k against mages with it, and that's using Fit'z Throwing Axe (130.5 damage), so considerably lower than these.

In my opinion this is best non-epic throwing weapon for rogues cause it has all that rogue needs and its slightly better then Sethekk feather-darts and Nethershrike and my guess is that the only reason some rogue dont want to buy it is if he already has some of the blue thrown weapons mentioned above so he dont want to spend money to get this

I've tried to sell these for 100g. I end up dumping them at 75-80g.

If I sold the mats separately, I can get 150-180g out of them. Heck the primal air and fire are almost 100g by themselves on my server.

but the plans for felsteel are a bop drop, same with khorium crap, this u get from trainer, much better than hours spent farming in SL, arc, and sethekk (not sure about last one, it might be crypts).

It is crypts for the glove pattern, but putting in a little effort to farm it makes it cheaper in the long term

This is a typical example of the lunacy of the blacksmithing profession. Too much damn trouble and cost to aquire the insane amount of raw materials to hope to get maybe part of your investment back? When the hell does this profession pay for itself cause it's only caused me trouble. Whatg a completely and uttetly worthless profession. Surely this isn't how they intended this to work. I'm 355/375 currently and have come to the conclusion that I have wasted much of my time in a profession that no one needs at lvl 70 with the advent of gladiator gear so easy to get. Thanks Bliz for the ultimate slap in the face for crafters in this game.

Throwing Weapons are used for TWO things:

1. Free STATS

2. A Ranged Pulling Mechanism for melee classes

The Wshiper Knives have one advantage over the Gladiator equivalent: HIT RATING.

I'll take Hit Rating for PvE over Reslience any day of the week.

nice i made on of these cuz they looked gold and they dont even sell for 50g.
Should have just skilled with felsteel gloves and saved the primals.

This is bullcrap tbh only good thing i got was boots of the protector.
