hopefully i dont get flamed for posting a link to another site,
but there is actually a lvl 55 mount and lvl 60 mount.

the lvl 55 only requires lvl 75 riding skill.
the lvl 60 does require lvl 150 riding skill.

but they are both Epic mounts.

Commander is Rank 11, not 9 for the guy with the informative post above, that aside.

1) yes it is possible to get this at 40 if you manage to muster the honor to get the rank.
2) Same price as a normal mount.
3) You must have Tiger Riding(1) to ride it and therefore must be a Night Elf or have Exalted with the night Elf capital of Darnassus.

If anyone has a pic they should post it for the curious persons out there who might wanna know.

It it impossible to reach rank 11 when you are in lvl 40. Beacause the lower lvl you are the less Honor you get. A lvl 60 get much more Honor then a lvl 50. And if you play in Arathi Basin as lvl 60 you get around 3 times as many Honor then a lvl 55 in Alterac Valley.

I have played 2-3 hours pr day i AB since I reached lvl 60 some weeks ago, and have around 80.000 - 130.000 Honor pr week (app.600-950 kills). In this rate you can get 1 new rank a week to app rank 8. To move further up I will probably use 1 /1/2 week on 1 rank until rank 11. Then it get much harder. And to go from rank 13 to 14 takes severeal months. Some players that I know has the above pace pr. day ( more then 900 kills pr day). But offcourse this also depend what class your char is.

there is a level cap on the rank on the honor system you need to be level 53 to be rank 11 (the rank requierd)

I think its an acctual fact , and i no , i dont assume , i know you can get it at 40 as a player on real has already done so before ,maybe this was before one of the petches i don't know , it was few months ago but i did see it ^^ except it was a Black Battlestrider and whats this l2p? ...
... Gafc tbh , as i said insulting ppl over the internet sucks , continue to do it as you please im sure only you finds it amusing
And for the last post if your horde you can buy it in the hall of legends near the mage trainer in Org and if Alliance - you can buy it near old town , can't remember what the keeps called sorry <3 xx

Ok guys. Yes, you need to be exalted with Darnassus if not a Night Elf to ride this. It does only require Tiger Riding (1). But no, it cnnot be reached at 40. To reach Commander, it requires level 51. With the new patch, it costs only 90g. So if your a Night Elf, and you already have your 40 mount and are level 60 + Commander, you vould just save up 90g and buy this.

Just to clear things up due to everything new + the patch.

You do not need to be exalted with DN if you are a Night Elf and you have to be a commander to actually buy it and i think it is 8 or 9g now plus u have to buy epic mount riding.

Just got this mount before patch 2.00,thx god i only needed 75 riding skill then(feel sorry for the peeps would where almost rank 11). So here is comes, to my suprise it was possible to ride it (human race) without being exalted at darnasus, same goes for black war ram, so i now have 3 mounts for 27 gold total and can ride each of them. Well i am not complaining:)

To purchase this mount now, you need 30 marks of honor from each BG. (WSG, AB, AV) The requirement has been upped to 150 riding skill, but tiger riding is NOT necessary.

For any humans, dwarves, or gnomes that already have an epic mount but wanted a tiger, its now a lot easier. No need to get exalted with Darnassus (which I was preparing to do before the patch went live).

Does anyone else thik that 30 of each medal is a little absurd for this mount?...IT would make sense if you only needed 75 riding, but now, since u need 150, its outrageous to pay 720g and 30 of each medal....but hell, i cant really complain b/c it is one of the coolest mounts imo

I got this mount yesterday morning. I already had 150 riding skill from my dreadsteed quest and I already owned a regular human epic mount (which I picked up for 90g after the patch changed the mount prices) so now I have three epic mounts. I like this tiger one the best though. Not that hard to get either, managed to scrape up the tokens in about three or four days of pvping for other gear. Already had the AB tokens from running AB with my guild all weekend since it was AB weekend, then started running a lot of AV after the AB weekend ended. The hardest tokens to get were the WSG ones, those were hell since 99 percent of the time when I went in to WSG it was against a premade. Well worth it though, this mount kicks ass.

ok ok guys , to clear this whole thing up, now that u can buy pvp mounts using only marks of honor, u dont have to pay anything. Also you dont need any exalted or anything with nelfs or whatever to ride a black war tiger. U need exalted to ride other tigers like mistsaber etc. But for pvp mounts, all u need is the marks and the riding skill. Also since there is no ranks anymore, u can only get this mount at lvl 60!

this tiger now requires lvl60 and 150/150 riding skill, meaning u have to pay 600g for training ( BASE COST )

I am a 70 dwarf rogue who has no better than honored reputation with Darnassus. I do, however, have sufficient marks of honor to purchase this black war tiger. So, if i get the tiger, will i not be able to ride it because i do not have "tiger riding skill"? And I will not be able to get tiger riding skill until I get better reputation with Darnassus? If so, that sucks. Please inform.

No, you don't need to be exalted with Darnassus. All you need is the 150 riding skill. :)

AS OF: JUNE 24, 2007...xD decided to clear things up now... THIS WORKS FOR ANY PvP reward mount!

OK SO:
1) To get this mount, have:
-30 Warsong Gulch Mark of Honor
-30 Arathi Basin Mark of Honor
-30 Alterac Valley Mark of Honor
2)Go to Champions' Hall in Old Town, located in Stormwind. There will be a white portal, go through it. (This is the Alliance version of the guide, same goes for Horde though, but for Horde, go to Orgimmar and it's located in the Valley of Honor, same white portal. It's called the Hall of Legends.)

3) For Alliance, there will be a person who has the title of <Mount Vendor>. This is Lieutenant Karter. (STARGATE LOL xD) For Horde, there will be a person who has the title of <Mount Quartermaster>. This is Raider Bork.

4) Talk to the person who has the mounts; hopefully you did some research on which mount looks cooler for you xD...anyways, CAREFULLY pick and choose because the effect is irreversible!

5)So, hopefully you got the mount you wanted.

6)THIS MOUNT IS NOT FREE! Well it is, but the training sure isn't! SO:

7)YOU. MUST. HAVE. JOURNEYMAN. RIDING. SKILL. OR. HIGHER!.

8) NOT HONORED JOURNEYMAN RIDING SKILL: 600 gold.
9) HONORED JOURNEYMAN RIDING SKILL: 540 gold.

....For a long time ago... It was something called ranks... You had to get so and so much honor to get to that rank. This mount requierd rank 9... And at that time.. It wasn't anything called WSG marks, ab marks, av marks..bla bla... :P
Then you had to buy it for about.. 100g or something, and it requierd lvl 40+ and riding skill 75.

PS: I got to rank 8, and the next day I played wow.. You had to have riding skill at 150 >_<(lvl60+)

You know, I swear i saw a guy riding this damn thing in lvl.50 wsg the other day. Hell, i even clicked on him and it said 100% speed increase, is it possible he just got it when it was still 75 riding skill?

Ill try to clear any confusion. If i am wrong feel free to correct. Epic war mounts are equal in every way to standard epic mounts in stat speed etc. Standard epic mounts require exhalted rep to ride another races mount. Epic war mounts are available to any race on your side horde or alliance with no rep requirement. All epic mounts now require level60 or better.
fyi exhalted rep will lower your riding skill cost to upgrade from 75 to 150 to 480 G.

this is a really easy mount to get.i recently got it at lvl 58 while grinding at AV, AB,and WSG, it took me about 4 days to get the marks and i also got 12k honor from doin all those BG's. I just grinded to 60 2 day and i am 50g short of learning 150 riding.
I would recommend it to anyone that's short on gold and need's a epic mount. quick way to save 100g
