there is no lvl requirment for the icicle rod but you must be lvl 18 to take the quest

It's strange -- when I search staffs I get a list of results and the DPS for this one is lower than what the actual item description shows.

If you dont have high enough skill with your weapon, you wont do (anything close to) full damage

i love this freaking staff! it is probably the best one you could get at lvl 20! i was tricked by this quest! i thought it was just gonna be one of those go find the chest and bring it back, and earn a couple silver and xp points. but when i saw the reward on the final quest i was so happy i was about to cry lol! (just kidding)

heh i prefer the emberstone staff over this since its faster and more dps. Plus it looks kinda better. Get the emberstone by doing the VC quest and captain greenskin usually drops it

While I usually do not get to use this, it is an awesome little staff. It does well in a pinch. My warlock has it and uses it when he can't keep the mobs away with voidwalker. It hits hard enough for his level (24)

This is an okay staff... good for Frost mages, but Emberstone is better; more stats and even increased Int than this. Get a high level friend to run you through and snag it from Greenskin.
