You can no longer have a 60+ attach this to leggings in the "Will not be traded area" however you CAN attach it to some BOE leggings (ex. dark leather leggings) and send them to a twink.

I think that this is a good enchant for a rogue that uses Fel skin ( https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/itemset=573 ) set. It counters the lack of stamina of that set. Moreover , to correct even more the lack of stam of the set , can also be used additional Knothide armor kits ( https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=25650 ).

You can also use it on non-soulbound items like https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=2372 so after using it you can give it to other alt or sell to other player

I love the fact these have no level req, attach them to some or some starter kit then mail them to your new alt and have fun levelling :p

I attached this to a pair of Tuxedo Pants, and it's one of the best investments you can make for levelling alts.

Tuxedo Pants do not bind, making them infinitely reusuable, no matter how many alts you have.

For just over 100g, you have something any alt can use while starting out, which can last you up to level 20 (or much longer if you don't mind losing out on armor value).

You can use this with any of the leg enchants, including the spellthread.
Tons of mileage, well worth the relatively small investment.

I wanna know why are these so expensive to buy allready crafted while the mats are under 50g(wowhead price, i buy primal earths for 2g on my server) and the recipe is very easy to get ?

Edit : saw them selling for 120g in my server's AH last night so i decided to craft one and i had a total mats value of ~40g(with my primals) ~50g(w/ bought primals)

I personally put these on today on a pair of lvl 19 pants for a friend, who immediately proceeded to wear them. As long as you are above 60, you can attach it to any level pant.

First time I came across this in AH was a pair of Dark Leather Pants sittin there at the incredibly high price of 35g... I thought what kind of jerk would put lev 18 pants in AH for 35g. Then I looked at stats and thought "Ooh, clefthide at lev 18, and for only 35g!"
Lev 18, 72 Arm,+8 Agl, (+30 Stam / +10 Agl)
Put them on my 20 Hunter and WOW. She broke 1,100 HP at 22.
Turtle = +32 Stam (+1010 HP capped @ 952) +489 Armor, Total 1421
Good Times.
Found just the leggings in AH again for 35g last week. Looks like price on WindRunner has dropped to about 40g for the moment.

Says on the item itself that it Requires Level 60... Doesn't mean to make it, it means to put it on you must be level 60 or higher...

The Primal Earth alone for these babies goes for about 10g apiece on my realm (give or take a few - I've seen it up for 20g apiece). Prices for post-BC mats are still fluctuating as people finish crafting / hoarding for themselves and start putting up excess mats.
If I go by (min bid) prices on my realm a couple days ago, the breakdown goes like this:
Heavy Knothide Leather x 4 = Knothide Leather x 20 @ 1g apiece = 20g
Thick Clefthoof Leather x 8 @ 2.5g apiece = 20g
Primal Earth x 4 @ 10g apiece = 40g

So the MINIMUM the mats would cost is 80g on my realm (which is one of the cheaper realms). Still, it is a very sweet armor kit. I replaced a +8 stamina kit on my rogue's leggings and our tank just replaced a +100 health enchant with one.

Oh, and I can craft these Horde-side on Khaz Modan. :)

The first one I made was for what turned out to be a level 19 twink. Mats were few and far between on the AH. He first tried applying the kit himself. It didn't work. He then tried putting his soulbound pants into the Do Not Trade window to have me apply it. It didn't work. He then went out and bought a new pair of pants that were not soulbound and traded those to me. I applied the kit, he put on the pants, and there you have it, folks. Hot twink item how-to. I anticipate a possible nerf in the near future (patch prediction: can only be applied to items level 55+? That would make it about right).

I had a good laugh today when I tried to help a guy get this. XD

Started with him writing in trade channel, "Lf someone who can make the 30stamina and 10agility patch"

I tried to as quickly I could link the yellow link to him and said "Bring the mats and I can do it for free"

About 40seconds later I got a respond, "Do you have any of the mats"
Me:"eer, why?"
He:"caus im not buying all"
He:"its more expensive that way"
I had a little laugh for myself and started to wonder what kind of guy this was and tried to figure out a very unnice reply to him, turned out to be: "eer, look for someone else".

And so he did. :P

What I just wonder... WHY should I loose money on making this item for him? Why should I go farm some of the materials to be able to just loose them cause it needs to be cheaper for this guy?

Funny guy.. Really. =) (now, about 20mins later.. He's still looking for someone who can make one for him.. )

These and even the +40 stam/12 agi armor kits are now a must-have for anyone who wants to do pvp. If you do not have it, chances are you get killed real fast - and often (as you are so easy to be killed), thereby decreasing your fun significantly.

Due to this the prices for the mats as well as the ready-made items have gone up a lot.

They still can be used for "twinking" but I think it's in Blizzard's intent because they want as many people as possible to reach level 70 fast (look at all the other things to make the game easier, this is just one); I doubt this will be "nerfed" at a later stage. Because - if all can have it then no-one is at a disadvantage.

However, while people's stamina goes up, the damage done by weapons/spells has not (at least not by much). It effectively meant people had to adapt to the fact that no-one is killed easily and it takes group effort to kill anyone fast anywhere. This goes for PVP only, of course. PVE has become a lot, lot easier because of this.

My good luck...found primal earth on AH today for 3g each...so bought 3= 9g
Had already farm 10 motes of earth in Nagrand for the fourth and guildy and I farmed cleft Bulls for a stack of 20 clefthoof leather in about 30 mins...only need to get some knothide leathers now...think I'll have them make two sets...use one...sell one...hope u have the same good fortunes!

PS...okay maybe it was more like 45-50 mins to grind clefthoof leather...but 2x 70 level can go pretty fast thru a herd...and at one point dropped 3 in a row...woot!

A twink can put this on only if the Item is BOE, and not BOP. You have to actually buy the Armor it self but You can only actually use the Item if you are lvl 60 or above. At that time send the item to your twink Character and Continue Owning! Will be better than any other pants you could possibly have so you don't need to take a long time picking the pants!

My hunter friend just got this.

Trollbane Leggings in a lvl 60+ toon's inventory. The 60+ uses the kit on the leggings. Gives the leggings to the hunter.

This armor kit costs about 90g if you buy these mats yourself. Saw a couple of them for 70-74g on AH today. Can't wait to get some extra G to add this to my 48 Hunter.

Got this last night for only 65g on StormReaver AH! I lurked around the mailbox until I found a random lvl 60+ to help me apply the kit to Dark Leather Pants (+8 AGI). It took some convincing -- he didn't want to accidently soulbind the item or make it unusable to my twink, but otherwise turned out good. The rumor about enforcing lvl 35 on the items is just a rumor -- I saw it on wowhead before here and they said it would apply to 2.1 which obviously can't be true cause 2.1 is already out.

The lvl 60 requirement means, only a lvl 60+ can APPLY the kit to non-soulbound BOE items. The item must be in the lvl 60's inventory (so u have to "trade" them and the armor kit to apply). Just like the previous 2000 posts have stated. Also just finished reading patch notes (that downloaded with the patch) and the kits are NOT nerf'ed.

clefthide leg armor turns a good twink into an amazing twink. 30stam THATS 300 HEALTH 10 agil will add to your crit chance and dodge chance. this is really an amazing twink item... eccept for one thing

if you dont have piles of money laying around then this might not be the best idea, on my server (Aerie Peak) it goes for an avrage of 60g, it can get lower but normaly stays in that area.
i tried to farm these mats and im going onto day THREE so far from farming in Nagrand, i have gotten
1 primal earth out of 4
4 thick cleftfoot leather
20+ Knothide leather (which can be turned into heavy knothide leather)
really, if u have the money go for it, if you dont have the money, better start farming and hope you have skinning at 325+

This DOES still work - I did it on 6/24/07 without problem. I have a 70 L/W that applied the armor to a pair of BoE legs, then mailed them to my twink which used them as any other. As for those claiming it does not work - they either have not tried it or are simply trolls causing problems.

Just applied this on a level 19 required item with a level 70 hunter without leatherworking on the third of July 2007. Worked just fine, the leggings did not get bound to me. So it still works as far as I can tell.

Just had a lvl 70 rogue attach for me yesterday, traded him BOE pants and the leg armor, he traded it back with it on it! worked FIne!

Ok it has been metioned a few times in the numerous post/replys here.

1.Yes these can be worn by any level.
2.It only requires a level 60 to apply to BoE pants.
3.No they don't become soulbound.
4.Can not be done through trade window.

Had no trouble sending a pair of BoE pants to my main and applying this kit then sending back for my Twink rogue to wear.

and the current price fot this kit on Shadowsong is between 53-58g no way I can farm mats cheaper, well worth the Gold.

lvl 16 Rogue 1060HP unbuffed...cant wait for lvl 19 :p

I farm the Clefthoof and Knothide leathers myself, and I buy the Primal Earth off the AH. Even if I sell the armor kits for 50 to 55g, I still make at least 30g from each kit. Not too bad.

I also find these sell well if I advertise in the trade channel, but they don't sell all the time if they're on the AH. I think some people don't know -- or don't think -- to look for them when they're browsing the AH.

Man, i was gonna get cobrahide for my 70 hunter's pants, but just realised how much easier these are to make. Primal earths are like 4g on AH while airs about about 25, and clefthoof leather is SO much easier to get than cobra scales. cobrahide are better for a hunter i guess...but not that much better, as the stam is useful in arena and with my 20% hp increasing so each stam gives me 12hp...

Im making a druid twink currently (feral, best flag carriers) and would that mean that this will give 37stam in bear form? seeing as bear form gives 25% more stamina? that would be awesome. and also, what enchant will i put on rahkzors hammer? im thinking 25 agi.
