This is an exceptional tanking cloak. I would say its probally the next step in from the Devilshark cape.

Considering that the cape you should be wearing up til this one is https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=27804 its not *that* huge of an upgrade considering the guild progression between PUGging SV and the eye.

Definitely the best Tank cloak out there. better for druids than Devilshark also.

As much as I would like this as a tanking druid, I would be more than happy to pass to our tanking warriors first. This has great stats for both druids and warriors, and while initially it would look much better for warriors, it has been mentioned at how close to the armor cap druids get that the extra armor isn't as imperative as one may think. But again, this is better for warriors, just as I'd expect warriors to pass the gilded thorium cloak to a druid first.

This is the best warrior tanking cloak ingame, there is no more cloaks after Al'ar for tanking warriors on the loot tables.

So passing on this would be stupid :)

Surely if you a warrior this capes high defense, dodge and decent armor is awesome. Of course a warrior can benefit from dodge as well as all other tank mods.

I dunno about you guys but a good tank is a balanced tank, not just all block or armor.

And sometimes Blizzard makes these kinda stats for a reason, to mix match for perfect balance in dodge, parry, armor, block and stamina amongst those epics with odd stats of this nature. Maybe through experience a good tank would see this cape is one of those mix-match capes where experience counts for the gearing mix-match balanced tanker.

Not always do the tiers pwn. It's Mix matching for the balance stat that counts:)

This isn't a Druid only or Warrior only cloak.
I would even say let a Paladin loot this if they want for tanking.
But that maybe depends on what your guild uses for tanks ^_^

As people pointed out, it has "low" armor so some druids may not like it,
but it gives a good dodge, hence it should weigh up for the lower armor.

I think all tanks should have equal rights to bid on this cape.
The stats are excellent for both classes, and this is one of the better cloaks
available at the moment in my opinion.

Oh and I play a Warrior.

he's kidding, this a tanking item and nothing else! Hunters need agi, AP and +crit. If anyone claim that its a hunters item because hunters benifts from the +dodge, agi give +dodge aswell!

This cloak is awesome for tanking. Nice armor, the stamina is crazy, along with the defense and stuff!

Great tanking cloak, dodge is one of the best defenses, and it is 8.5 defense from the 20 defense rating. So if you put it on it would raise your actual defense by 8.5.

considering this is from one of the hardest raids ever, i would expect something more than this

compare it to this lvl 69 rare, which u can grind the mats in under an hour, u lose 1 stamina and
the dodge rating, but when u take in to account the effort that goes into getting the epic, this is not an even tradeoff, not by a long shot, buff this or nerf the rare imo

ok u are stupid cloak of eternity sucks ,period https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=27804/devilshark-cape kicks its ass and all u have to do is SV to get it, anyway this cape is a nice upgrade from devilshark, witch almost all real tanks use, and with my guild aproaching alar i am looking forward for this cape. (o and for tingotango, ONLY gain dodge, u obviously dont raid much cause dodge kicks ass for raiding) dodgeing the attack > 200 HP

Wanted to know what to upgrade from guilded thorium cloak, ran into this. Shame to think that this is the only upgrade in the game and my guild is no where near TK..............

Amazingly, I think this might actually be the best tanking cloak in the game. There doesn't appear to be anything from Hyjal or Black Temple that would remotely classify as an upgrade.

Zul'Aman has been confirmed to be a step up from KZ and easier than SSC or TK. The likelihood of any gear upgrades from there is slim.

Its a bear mount farming place from all I've read.

First (and just about only) cloak to compete (and win, though slightly) with Devilshark Cape for warrior tanks. Not even that much better, since you loose 29 block value. But the stamina and defense/dodge just outweigh it in the end. Though for balance purposes, I'd keep Devilshark in my bank at any time.

from those dissing dodge. Yes, too much dodge can rage starve the tank, but a certain amount of dodge is needed to slow a boss from eating through your shield block charges and crushing you. Wearing a high lvl cloak with lots of dodge and defense, lets you wear a high lvl item with very little or no dodge and defense, like alot of the badge gear, or ZA gear.

and yes, pepe's cloak is much better then this one, but both are damn good.
