Translated Stats:

330 hitpoint increase using the (10hp/1stam) math.

Increase shield block rating by 22 = 2.8% rounded total

(Using the math 7.88 Rating = 1% at level 70. (( 22 divided by 7.88% = 2.7918%))

Block Value is direct adding direct 30 to the total value increase.

Just to give quick comparison stats.

Item: The Seventh Ring of the Tirisfalen is a great tanking ring which unfortunately drops from trash mobs inside Tempest Keep*, a bit of an unpredictable and low drop rate. It's on par with Ring of Sundered Souls from Morogrim Tidewalker (Serpentshrine Cavern) and any of the Band of Eternity rings from The Scale of Sands reputation gains and quests.

Personal View (Warrior): I've considered this ring a must-have upgrade, being a high level item and due to lack of good replacements - Shermanar Great-Ring was good and had served its purpose for a long while but it was time to go in favour of more stats (shield block value and shield block rating). Unfortunately it has a very low drop rate - either you're very lucky or farm trash on purpose** or unlucky and it never drops until you've reached Mount Hyjal and you can get your hands on Band of Eternity which is 'almost there' in terms of stats and a sure drop.

Drops from: No one knows*. Supposedly Tempest Falconers* in Tempest Keep dropped them, which reduced the total number of mobs inside an instance to four (There were four of these in Al'ar's chamber), a rather absurd amount**. Other rumours said every trash mob all the way to Void Reaver dropped this ring - I can confirm these two and say I've seen it drop from a Falconer and a Crystalcore Sentinel just before Void Reaver. Now, another thing which baffled most of my guild mates was that it also dropped from a Battle-Mage, meaning trash up to Kael'thas. As at the time of writing this edit there are no official mobs listed on wowhead, we can safely say that the drop rate has probably been increased by adding more mobs which have a small probability of dropping this item.

I got this last night on the very first pull inside the doorway in TK so I think they must have expanded the mobs that this drops from as I don't remember there being Falconers in that first pull.

Just got this tonight, dropped off the first pull of trash. Seeing as I was still using the BM quest reward ring, I was quite happy to get this!

Excellent all purpose ring for a prot warrior. Respectable stam/defense and good threat gen. with the block value. The block rating isn't quite as desirable, but better than nothing.

Either we have gotten extremely lucky, or the drop rate for this is dramatically higher than listed.

Last week, we got four of them clearing to Solarian. This week we got three.

All of our warriors (including DPS warriors) have one, and all of our paladins (including healers) have one, so we've started sharding them.

Just got my ring from one of the crystalcore sentinels right before Reaver, so they may not be limited to the humanoids.

As a prot paladin, this is the perfect itemization for my AoE Trash-tanking set, i.e. what I use to tank the Hyjal trash or do AoE farming. This is also very good for a warrior and their Shield Slam threat outfit.

In either tanks hands, it is a great item.

Not too fantastic for a warrior tank, because it spends item budget points on relatively useless block rating. The exalted rep ring from Karazhan is better, and so is the ring from Morogrim. A good thing perhaps, seeing as those are more reliable than a random trash drop.

highest in karazhan is 110 so chances are that it's from the eye or serpentshrine

4 of these things dropped in one run in Tempest Keep. One on the way to Al'ar, one onto Void Reaver, and two more onto Solarion.

If we were working on Kael'thas, I'm sure a fifth one would drop. Or, dare I say it, a SEVENTH one.

Wish i could get this ring. its a badass ring. though like BC before it drops in WOTLK WILL be better than !@#$%ing purples in raids. still if you go into a new area, you go in style with the best of everything you can get! planning on getting https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=29993/twinblade-of-the-phoenix once i get there. ill have about 5 80 DK with me and a bunch of other lvl 80s by the time i get up to 70

Got 3 drops in 1 run aswell. Infact, 1 dropped off a mob, I paid 330 DKP for it, then the very next mob looted was the same ring, and the other tank got it for 35 DKP >.< I was gutted.

Dropped in our first venture into TK. Paladin Tank was the only one willing to pay the DKP for it, so he got it. Quite nice, really.
