The plans for this item drop from trash mobs in Serpentshrine Cavern.

It is the best fury warrior DPS-belt in game up to date.

Its quite cheap to make, once you get the Nether Vortex's.
Hardened adamantite bar x 5 = 5 stacks of 20 adamantite ores, around 125g.
10 primal fires = 100 motes of fire, should be around 300g.
Note: prices vary between servers, the prices above are how much they cost on my server.

The gem slots are quite rubbish so using 8str on both slots is advisable.

Just got the belt and I had the gem ready, so finally it looks like this

Doesn't match the t5 set though, I have submitted a picture of the belt, it's red, but not bright.

Our guild had already offers of up to 4000g for this belt, so you might consider gathering a raid and farming trash in SSC.

They guy who paid only 2300g in the item profile got it at a huge bargain. I paid 4000g for mine and consider it an investment considering the difficulty in getting one of these items crafted if you are unfortunate enough to not belong to one of the top guilds on your server. I figure I'll be can get another 4000g sooner than the next opportunity to obtain one of these.

As an alternative the PVP reward belt is less DPS-centric but offers more stamina (I was looking to get this when the Red Belt was offered):

Got one of these crafted for myself a few hours ago. I was charged 750g per vortex which brings the total cost of the belt to around 2300g, which isn't at all a bad price. Now I don't have to wait and wait for Mag to drop his now. Definately worth the gold.

Wow I got off cheap for mine then. I paid 1200d for both vortexes and famred the other mats myself. Total cost including tip was 1300g.

For a fury warrior id choose 8hit rating and 4str 6 stamina
so its 22 hit 27 crit and 45 str and 27 stamina.

If you are in a SSC level guild and there's a blacksmither in guild probably you can save up a lot of money for the vortexes, the rest of the mats are "almost" humanly farmable, personally i saw worst items that required more farm.

Nothing to say for the people that spent around 1000g, it clearly worths that much but 4000g is an indecent price :)

Currently the best plate belt for PvE dps in the game. The only thing close is https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=30915 from Hyjal, and its more of a side-grade.

Since the events of 2.4, the very worst someone should expect to pay for this belt is: 2 x 250g (Vortexes) + 10 x 25g (Primal Fires) + 5 x 30g (Adamantite Ore stacks) = 900g~. Throw in a hefty tip of 100g even and it'd only be 1000 gold. I can't imagine anyone buying this out for anything higher than 1000g. Also, farming your own Primal Fires and Adamantite Ore can drastically lower your price. I made my belt post 2.4 for only 500g worth of mats (the two Vortexes). Spend 30 badges and you'll have it free + tip!

There are times when ignoring the socket bonus is a good thing, and times when they're not. When the socket bonus is dps itself, you lose very little by inserting the correct colors of the gems. What you lose in missed opportunity to max dps, you gain in survivability in form of stamina for the blue gem spot (4str6sta instead of 8str that was suggested). And we all know dead dps=0 dps.

A couple stamina is not going to suddenly make a DPS survive in all but the rarest and unlikely circumstances. Gemming for DPS or healing is always superior, unless the fight specifically calls for additional stamina. In those few situations you wear a difference set of gear, you do NOT purposefully gem your gear to hinder your role.

The only reason to gem this with a stamina gem is to meet your meta requirement. Your best gem choices for this (given you're using RED, 2 of each color) are a Sovereign Shadowsong Amethyst and an Inscribed Noble Topaz. Cover the other portion with a green gem (e.g. in Bracers of Eradication - Blue Socket).

Yeah - the Nether Vortex is pretty pricey. I offered 500g per Vortex but I was turned down. He said he couldn't go lower than 1000g.

This is my favorite fury warrior belt ingame atm.

The amount of strenght and sockets makes me wanna scream :)

However, i would rather have 24 hit ratin and 14 crit rating, but i guess blizz is trying to make this a designable belt that can fit every spec :S

On a more serious note, I´m glad to see Blizzard is adding powerful new tradeskill items! Even if only raiders will be able to make them and earn money on it, it´s still a hell of a lot better than the old BS stuff!

i am trying to decide between this or the veteran's plate belt, i think with gems i can get this up to the same crit standard, and i prefer doing more dps, and the lower stam can be made up with a +12 gem

just socket+10 crit gems on eafch slot( lets face it u dont need that much hit ca 200-215 enough.. so crit ftw .. 33% in bezer shiuld be needed to make flurry up all the time ( doesnt matter pvp MS war or dw pve crap).. socket= crit gems not hit !@#$..

The +10 crit gem is unique-equipped so u cant have 2 equipped at the same time, even on different pieces of armor. Same deal with all of the purple gems that drop in heroics ... all are unique-equipped.

This belt is good because of the increase str and +hit. The latest and welfare epics have less of both.

If your hit rating is at least min 95 really dont need to socket anymore +hit as it is. Add more +str +crit gems.

Vortex's are now BoE and purchasable with 15 badges, also gems are not unique equiped anymore (well, not sure how many or if it's all the gems that aren't unique equip anymore, but it's definately the one's that drop in Heroics)

Because the awesomeness of this belt demands QQing, wth is with no red sockets? I mean it is called the "RED" belt, wouldn't red sockets be natural?

On the other hand, this belt is still better than the leather badge belt being released in 2.4, "Belt of the Silent Path," so woot!
