After the 2.1 stat buff looks more appealing. Beats Elementium Band by 21stam and 6 dodge, thats hardly a 'marginal' upgrade. Loss of 2 defense no big deal, thats 1 defense skill and you should be at 500+ anyway.

Im thinking maybe better for paladin tanks than warriors... but pally tanks suffer in 25 mans so (shrugs)

Got that thing yesterday and replaced the Shermanar Great Ring with it ( https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=28675 ). STA is clearly superior plus the dodge was nice extra. I am thinking that the lack of extra armor puts the +STA a bit in perspective though. Any thoughts?

It is clearly a tanking ring. With defense rating, dodge rating, and high stamina, this is a good choice of tanking ring for any tank, be they Protection Paladin, Protection Warrior, or Feral Druid.

Rogue? why in god's name would a rogue want this? They'd get super survivability, but take longer to kill anyone

Any guild that would even allow a rogue to bid on this item shouldn't be finding items like this in the first place.

Morogrim Tidewalker in Serpentshrine Cavern (Coilfang 25 man) And no, it's not "for a druid", it has no armor on it and we get better dodge from agility. There are much better rings for druids in Karazhan.

Its a good ring for druids but a warrior gain more from it.
For Druids theres;
Ring of Unyielding Force
and
Violet Signet(which upgrades)

.. both are better, imo

Oh, and I'v had a druid for last 2 years ;)

This is just as good for a druid / warrior tank - But only if the druid has reached his/her 75% damage reduction cap which stands at around 32000 armor.

I have reached this cap so I can only buff my tanking stats with stam and dodge. Defense also helps - but helps less if you have the 415 defense which is the required amount for 'crit immunity' - No that doesnt mean I cant get crit.

Got the ring last night. I was the only warrior in the raid and I tanked Morogrim. I don't think I've ever clicked so many buttons before. But we did have 4 druids in the raid, two being tank feral. I already got two epics (dps/offspec) from the same run so I was flipping out about not getting the ring, but when I found out I was the only tell, I got with the druids and asked them why they didn't want it. Their responce was very similar to what has been posted already. There are better rings for a druid, and this ring right here is one of the best a warrior could get for a very long time, I would imagine halfway to Hyjal.

Oddly enough, this ring replaced the tanking ring from Mag's head turn in. HEY! I needed the upgrade from a blue! And if was officer distrubution loot, so don't call me a ninja! :P

Definately not the best tanking ring in game.
atm i am a warrior tank, I use band of eternity, and seventh ring of the tirisfallen, both of which are better atm.
