Vindicator's Dragonhide Boots (2.3 honor reward) will have better stats than these at the cost of a little bit of armor. If you are going for t4 already then you probably aren't having armor issues in bear form. That makes Vindicator's Dragonhide Boots possibly better than these boots and a lot easier to get.

The second best tanking boots ingame atm. Slap on a 12 agi and they are awesome for both tanking and dps :)
Since you need 375 Leatherworking to craft these they are only for leatherworkers.
The pattern cost roughly 150 to 300 gold depending on server, don't pay more than that :).
If you don't have Leatherworking Footwraps of Wild Encroachment from 60 Badge of JUstice is an alternative.
The best boots ingame is Treads of the Den-Mother which drops from Black Temple.

500g is generally a bargain compared to 1k or more for most of the BoEs and they are pretty decent boots. I just wish that for them being BoP that they had sockets, the new 2.3 badge boots are an upgrade because of the sockets primarily.

Thank goodness I didn't actually learn the pattern yet. :P

Grrr.... Really dislike it when sellers try to sell recipes for BOP items at ridiculous prices. BOE craftable recipes should be at higher prices, I would imagine..
