My friends guild got this from Hydross the Unstable yesterday. They put it on the AH.

Seems very silly to make it create a BoP item. The stats are really not that much better (and arguably lesser given gem availability) than Fiend Slayer Boots. Make the pattern AND the item BoE and we'll talk.

I'd reckon to say it's from both places, seeing as how I got mine from SSC, yet the name seems like it should be from the Eye.

It definitely drops from both places. I won it yesterday when it dropped from Void Reaver's trash. It's also dropped for my guild from Hydross' trash. :)

These are a bit of an upgrade over Fiend Slayer Boots, but I'd still take a pass if it throws you too far off your hit cap.

Dropped off SSC Lurker trash a few nights ago. They're very nice boots. Hunters, if you have enough hit rating to spare if you drop Fiend Slayer Boots, they're a decent upgrade/alternative. Mats are very easily acquired.

Gathering mats at the moment, they don't seem to bad. Got the scales for about 5g a piece, and the nethers I've gathered from my heroic runs.
I'd say the worst materials to gather are the Primal Airs, and they are quite easy to get.

If this pattern is within your reach, grab it and make these boots, they are awesome!:)

got it today farmed it today from AH (650g) only bought the pr airs...
its better than any boots for hunters up to SSC..

it looks like the new veteran's chain boots ...
same model but its a bit more brownish :D

I had a chance to buy this pattern on the Ah today for 150 gold by time I got it transfered from another toon it was too late though... it had been up all day apparently though as my friend told me later that he saw it up. Apparently the price for these are dropping drastically with the coming of the next expansion.

bought it for 800g at ah, i dont know if its worth it but i waited like 2 months to get it.. my server is a bit crappy few guuilds proggresing ssc/the eye. so i prepared the mats in 2 month. going to make them

Well, imo 800 G is quite a lot for a pattern that gives BoP equipment...but I think in this case it is worth the amount of gold cause these are one of the best hunter boots in game, I am checking AH on my server, Ghostland, since 3 weeks now but still no pattern...only plenty of Hurricane Boots...kinda sucks...

My guild had his in the bank for a few days and i asked last night if i could have it. They gave it to me and now im doing the farming of the mats...

These boots are awesome. I cant wait to put these on. And the reason they gave it to an alt is because none of the hunter mains are LW's, or they already have this.
