Not only chest drop.
Dropped for me from second Coilskar Siren with the key from chest.

Kill Coilskar naga around the Cistern (easiest place) until you get a few keys. The keys will be in your key ring, and they stack. Start opening chests after about 3-4 keys. As you go, you'll get more keys. Once you get this quest item, you can throw away the remaining keys, as all you can get from the boxes are junk (stack of 20 sells for about 1 silver).

The chests are all over coilskar (44,28). The trick is to open the right chest. If you don't you need another key = D

You'd think Blizzard would make the chest bigger is some kind of way. But wait! Blizz has to make the game "hard"!

found the fragment on my first chest around 46,28
its a chest right across from Lady Shav'rar

Took me about 5 chests - i followed advice and went to the cistern to get keys. Iopened what was there and then went over to the point. Dropped on second chest.

2nd kill got a key.. first box.. cake!

Kill and chest right about 53,29 near the 'cave' icon on the map. EAST of where it says Coil Scar.

i must be special or something I did the quest while a lvl 70 was clearing them and i was able to kill a naga got a key on the first kill and found a box right after : )

I got the first key from a siren, and opened the box at 46.32 got at first

i have been at it for like half an hour i have opened like 30 boxexs still no key is the drop rate realy that bad?

3rd key i got i tried on a chest that i happened to see in the tunnel towards the cistern, opened it and there it was, after looking at all the posts i can say i have alot of joy!

I got it at the first. wen you come op at the hill there is tree ways there is some stairs and to other ways go op at the stairs and go to the right there is a chest bihind some othere chest. and there it is

After getting my 1st key I was planning on attempting the idea of opening but not looting the chests to retain my key, however at 52, 57, I noticed a chest with a sparkling aura around it under the gazebo. Opened it and viola! easy 9g.
Look for a chest with sparkles, turns this into easy money.

Just look for a Shinny box... the one that have it will glow a little... easy :D

I found the fragment near the edge of the town at a 5:30 position. The little tent thing had two chests in it, the only two chest tent I came across. I don't know if it is always there or not. It might move around.

after 2.3 patch just find box which is sparkling - its there.

For TBC Classic, the chest is NEVER sparkling. They all look the same. Don't waste time trying the find a special chest, it's just RNG, gotta open em until you find the fragment.
