Mentioning this as a small fact, the increased attack power from Battle Shout does stack with Commanding Presence.

On live (+60ap) it's +75ap with 5/5, on PTR 87,5.

I'd really hoped they'd put in a decent tanking trinket instead of this.

I can see this being sharded due to being not desirable enough to spend DKP on :P

70 (~87) ap and 300HP. Big fat 'meh' as far as I'm concerned.

Well, I for one can't see any reason to be using this trinket on most raids. Splash damage would be a reason to use this, if you don't have better trinkets, but truthfully, the only reason I'd use this trinket would be if I'm OffTanking and there was another warrior in my group already.

While 70 extra ap would be nice, overall the trinket is subpar vs a pure dps trinket.

Which other trinket should I use with this one, if I had access to all trinkets in the game?

It also appears that when you use Commanding Shout, the Sapphire increases your HP pool by an extra 350, meaning that protection warriors using this trinket can gain 30 stam from equipping it and an "extra" 35 stamina (that can't be modified, obviously).

Not too shabby, considering you can also use it to increase your attack power if you need more threat, without having to change trinkets.

Well.. Its quite nice when you are in a melee dps group as dps warrior..
Boosting the feral dr00d, shaman and rouges in the group with more ap =)
But still.. Its kinda lame compared to some of the things other classes gain.. the stamina is nice for pvp.. but for pve i would have preffered some crit or something... Not that good for a tank since there are tinkets with way more stamina on them + defensive abilities

I think's pretty crap to be honest. If this would drop I'd HAVE to equip it instead of my Dragonspine Trophy and lose a haste buff while only gaining 30 AP.
Ofcourse, it helps the other melee but the stamina part just sucks. Atleast let it have some stuff a DPS warrior needs.

For your information, this drops in a 25 man raid. NO WAY melee dps is in same group as a tank and tanks would use Commanding Shout anyway instead of Battle Shout.
As a fury warrior I allready have over 12k HP raid buffed, without any food buffs/elixers.

Change the stamina I say.

I guess you could equip it, cast battle shout, then swap trinkets...I guess. Except you'd have to do it every 2 (or 3) minutes and you can't swap trinkets in combat.

so...

Oh, and it drops off High Astromancer Solarin in The Eye if you couldn't tell by the item's name.

If it's anything like the Tier 2 three piece set bonus, it will be affected by Commanding Presence. If they indeed do change it to be +70 AP, it could mean 470 AP Battle Shouts. Not bad at all.

And a druid's bear form gives +5% to crit and rocks pally dps...

druid's 5% crit effects only his group, oftne the tank group. The ret pallies 3% crit effects EVERYONE.

Now how does this work? If it gives 70AP to the base buff of Battle Shout it'd be at:
305 + 70 = 375AP

Then adding the Commanding presence to that It'd skyrocket to about:
375 * 1.25 = 469AP

Or does it just add a flat 70AP on top of the shout, including Commanding Presence, like:

(305 * 1.25) + 70 = 451AP

That's an 18AP differance.

Either,
(305 + 70) * 1.25
or,
(305 * 1.25) + 70

Edit: After looking some at the aura, it seems to add a flat increase and thereby landing at a 451AP

Could you buff yourself in arena with this, then swap it out for a better trinket? Would the buff still be +70?

This may have been a patch change, but my shout provides 517 ap with this trinket, both buffed and unbuffed (at 1850). THis is with 5/5 commanding presence. De-equipping reduces my ap by 97.

you have improved beserker's stance. 10% more AP :P, which would mean ~8 more AP for yourself. Also, yeah, this trinket isnt great for soloing. We've established that. However, this is the best end game raiding trinket for warriors, because of what it does to his/her group's dps.

To sum this item up would go along thw lines of: "Sucks for you, shines for your group."

I personally hold this for ransom of getting a WF totem off our enhancment shaman.

Definately The Best Trinket you could get for raiding as a fury / Pimp slam warrior.

Based not on an individual gain but the bigger picture group DPS gain...
