Drops from Attumen the Huntsman - https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/npc=15550 - in Karazhan. Not enough data gathered yet to know how common it is, but presumably very rare, like Baron Rivendare's mount or Mandokir's raptor mount.

Incorrect. The picture above IS indeed the mount that drops off him. The BE epic mount lacks the "fiery" look at the hooves and eyes.

In case you were wondering, Tauren can indeed ride this mount. Dropped on our first kill for our guild tonight, first time going in Karazhan. Randomed for it.

Though a BE Pally mount doesn't have the fiery hooves, it also has different armor, so this is completelay different from the BE Pally mount. Think of it as a mix between a Lock and Pally mount.

It can't be *that* rare, we've now seen it fall twice. Maybe we have insane luck, but I suspect the drop rate is probably something like 3% versus the 0.3% for Baron's mount...

It is speculated that Attumen is a Death Knight on wowwiki so therefore this mount, if that is true, is the horse of a Death Knight like Arthas before becoming One with the Lich King.

I was watching my friend doing kara the other day, and this drops, and im like o damn and the whole raid rolls for it of course, but he doesnt want it he says, im like wtf its really rare, but hes a lock and he says it doesnt fit him. And it apparently went to a guy who doesn't have his epic mount yet.. which i dont belive but what ya gonna do, i wasnt on so >.<

I jut want to add that this mount counts as part of the loot table, meaning if this drops it counts as one of your epics. Which IMO sucks, we had this drop for us last run and we were annoyed to find this out since most of our raid are crazy with other mounts this would never get used. Would have prefered a void instead... Oh well it does look cool.

yea not to burst anyones bubble but this mount is kind of common, at least 1 person on my server are on this in IF atta time. but yes like Mordachi said this mount is one of the coolest looking rare mounts in game becuase most rare mounts are just mounts from factions (such as Baron Rivendare's steed is an undead mount from horde side and raptor mount from trolls)

at first i was reading about so many people getting this moutn first go on this page but then i though that if u didnt get it then u wouldnt be posting it and i have only seen one on my server and theres is alot of raid guild that do karazhan on my server

It is hard to say with a straight face that this mount is rare when it dropped on our (Bloodgaurd of Eitrigg) first Attumen kill. But of course that was just luck, and when you see DOZENS of posts on how it dropped, you must think about the THOUSANDS of people who it did not drop for who aren't posting here. Thottbot and Allakhazam are coming up with something around .3%-.9% chance of it dropping. That is pretty dismall considering that you can only do it once a week.

This dropped for my raid group the other night, and I was lucky enough to win the roll with a 76. It looks awesome, and all the better for being rare.

I think this mount will be seen much more often than the Baron's dreadsteed. My reasoning for this?

There came a point fairly early on at 60 where (the people who progressed) just stopped running Stratholme. Couple that with a 0.01% droprate, and it's likely to be seen only in the hands of one or two players on any given realm.

The Zul'Gurub epic mounts, on the other hand, were much more common - albeit still a considerable rarity. Up the difficulty a bit and cut the raid size in half, and we're more likely - perhaps - to see a new one pop up every once-in-a-while.

Personally, I think it looks pretty repulsive, but as a... connoisseur of mounts, if you will, I still will run and return to Karazhan until I get one - that is, unless it becomes so obsolete that it is nigh impossible to gather a guild run / dare I say PUG for.

Awful looking horse.. doesn't even seem to have hooves, i saw a NE on 1 tonight and it looked dumb.. who cares if its an epic Kara mount, personally i'll have my sabers anyday (including the Winterspring Saber... now thats a NICE mount)

baron mount is also very rare cause you have too have alteast 1 person in the party exalted with AD, and anyone running baron runs is in %^&*ty gear and sure as hell not exalted with AD. Hence anyone that runs it cant even have it drop pretty much.

This Horse dropped on our Thursday Karazhan on server: Thorium Brotherhood For Guild: Khaotic Nemesis. Unfortunatley, we have not implemented DKP for Karazhan so this was a win for an out of guild support member. Anywho, heres a picture of the Warhorse, Midnight:

Will this be faster than a normal epic mount? Normally i would think not but another rare mount that they added (the netherdrake) has a 310% speed increase instead of the normal 280%, so apparently blizzard is making mounts that are even faster than other mounts of their same catagory, anyone know if this one goes more than 100% on land?

Dropped for Evolution on Stormreaver in probably the guilds 8th kill or so of Attunemen. I won it on a /random 1000 roll. Yay for a Pally with an undead horse. Everybody was quite surprised to see it dropped. We never got a mount out of ZG in all the runs we did it (multiple group runs per week too).

This is most likely the Karazhan version of the Baron's Mount, i.e you'll probably see one or two per server max.

Dropped on 2 Sep. on Alleria Realm and I won with a 95. I never roll above 46 (hardly ever). Yes, I am a Holy/Prot Dwarf Paladin. It looks nice :)

Considering you need a flying mount to even get attuned to Karazhan, EVERYONE in the raid will have the needed 150 riding skill to roll on this.

This is a fairly nice mount. Avaiable for everyone, and considering everyone would have had the needed riding skill (unlike PreTBC, where the ZG mounts were rolled on by everyone, even without riding 150), its completely fair. A lot of guilds are now progrssing past Kara, but even the ones that have are coming back for a shot at it, even if it is rare drop. I've had this drop once, and just starting to do Kara runs myself, was pretty excited when this dropped, considering it was a PUG for fun (didnt make it past Moroes, of course). This is cool, but in honesty, the raven mount out of heroic sethekk halls is nicer.

Got this on our guild's 9th Attumen kill back in Augest.I was actually quite suprised when this dropped.Everyone was so excited.Everyone rolled and I sadly rolled a 27.Our GM/raid leader won it with a 89 roll.We haven't seen one drop since though.

Indeed the baron mount is Quite a bit more rare, but this mount is also not anywhere close to common eather, .04 drop rate per week, and you still have to win the roll agenst the other 9 people in your raid.

All i know is i won it today with a 68, its pritty @#$%ing awesome with my headless horsemans helm.

I managed to get this only on my second run threw kz( both pugs). also not sure why u guys say pugs dont make it far, all the pug son my server at LEAST get past the gaurdians liberary, yet my server is also practicly dead pve wise( US-Hakkar) anyways, the reason this drops more than barons mount is not only because of the drop chance, but because baron also has about 24 more blues he can drop, and one more epic. also baron is the last boss of strat, somebody might have to leave, go afk, ect. and miss out, attuneman is the first boss and takes like 20 minutes tops to get to, so u have to do more work for barons. also hordies dont really need barons, purple skele warhorse is almost the exact same thing, cept deathcharger is blue. sorry if my comment is long, but it thourally explains why barons is harder to get.

Our guild must have killed Attunmen 40-50 times and this dropped for the first time last night. To me that indicates a very rare drop rate... single digit %. BTW, that first pic posted is NOT this mount.

Dropped from my 1st run with my tankadin toon in Kara off Attun. Only friendly with Violet Eye, don't even have the key! No pre-reqs, just get lucky!

Fangs are meh, and it looks a bit skinny. But it's an upgrade over seeing those bear mounts everywhere!

Our same Karazhan team got two Fiery Warhorses in a row these past 2 lockouts, pretty insane luck. Fun fact, this item is not a bonus drop; it replaces one of Attumen's two epic drops
