The blue equivalent is just 1 less spell damage. This one isn't worth it in my opinion, because the blue one is easier to get and only gives 1 less spell damage... Who cares? :P

If you are running actively karahzan and see this drops, if it costs DKPs I suggest you to pass. 60g and you got the blue one for 1 less spell damage!

These epic gems need a huge buff. +1 spell damage is NOT a significant increase from rare quality 2 epic quality. I would say the same thing about

Hopefully in through the item evaluations in the patches to come, Blizzard will see the error here.

Stats should read on the lines of +8 Spell Damage, +9 Stamina

Nope, unfortuneately not.

Let's say you have a +5 spell damage red gems socketed to a piece of armor you have...and you get hold of a +7 later.

When you socket the +7 damage gem, it destroys the +5 gem.

I know this sounds stupid, but to any paladins out there, do you know how much +6 spell damage increases consecration damage by? If it's bye +6 per second, then I'm gonna get this, but if not, meh.

ok for a pally this gem could work if you are adding a ton of + spell damage...so if your a ret pally or a prot pally then yes this could be a good gem. Now how much will this add to your conscration take your total spell damage+ amount it causes total/ by 8 seconds and that is how much it should tick for. Now things like judging crusade and avengers wrath will give you way more damage then this...roughly about 30-40 a tick depending on spec.
