This gem is actually better than it would seem at first. Parry rating is pretty important for warriors because when you parry you avoid all damage, and it decreases time before your next attack.

This might be best saved for when you get t4 gear. 2 item set bonus on that gear is a change to gain "blade turning" every time you parry, which absorbs even more damage. Coupled with the decent stam bonus this is a really nice gem.

Drops off Palatheon in heroic mech. Seems to be a relatively low droprate, but I'm guessing you should be able to get it after 10-15 runs at the worst. Hope this helps.

Unigue-equipped, does this mean that one cannot loot this if you got any item with it already on, or does it simply mean you cannot have the gem in the same item twice.

Stamina gem with defensive stat matching a RED socket!
Only one other gem that also does that comes to mind:
Regal Tanzanite (5 dodge, 6 sta)

Tanks can pick one of these if they want some stamina and still keep the socket bonus.

There's nothing else in Heroic SL for tanks but this gem alone is worth the pain of running it.

With the introduction of the Regal Nightseye in 2.4 this gem will only be a nice minor upgrade.

The addition really helps tanks get RED gem requirements if they need.

I got this twice in Mech Heroic, but could not socket the second 1 because only 1 per player is allowed. Did not say this anywhere. Bad Blizzard!

Would actually be of great use to combat rogues, especially in BGs, though tanks should deserve this first.

Parry is so much more important that dodge or block. You avoid 100% damage, decrease your attack time, all while generating full rage. Rage - something you don't get from Dodge, miss... This gem owns for tanking.

This gem is perfect for a Prot warrior who is trying to keep with the socket bonuses a little.. Once you have 2 pieces of tier 4, you get turning blades..200 damage absorption when you parry.. You still get the stam you need, plus boosting your 100% damage mitigation with parry, and the turning blades as well.

I'm not entirely sure about the uniqueness of this item... I picked up 2 in heroic mechanar last night, one off capacitus, and one off pathaleon, and was able to carry two in my bags. Currently, I have socketed one in my leg armor, will I be able to socket the other gem in a separate piece of armor or should i go bank it for later?

This Gem is now (not sure when) Unique-Equiped.

So forget ever having more than 1 at a time on the armor u're wearing.

i know u're going to say it has parry.... but its so little of it.. i rather stack stam.

remember, parry makes your next auto-attack occur 40% sooner, so this helps boost a tanks aggro.

Rogues are the last of the melee classes to roll on this. There's a dodge gem which is much better for rogue, which has crit on it.

Hunters will be able to counter attack more often through this.

Ok, as far as the uniqueness, you may have multiple gems in your bags, however only one gem can be on gear you are wearing. Example: If you have this gem equpied on your Chest, then it can NOT ALSO go on your legs, wrists, boots etc. And I am a combat/sword rogue, this gem deffinetly is nice to have for BG's and even a little bit while solo'ing because of Riposte.

Bliz is changing this in next patch, u will be able to socket multiples.

Start collecting. In 2.4 this will become VERY valuable as you can slot these in all your armor instead of the +12 Stams.
