I'm guessing there's a typo on this. Can anyone confirm if this gem actually gives +4 defense, or +4 defense rating?

4 defense rating = 1.69104591 defense skill at level 70.

4 defense rating = +0.27056734% uncrushability for a protection-warrior at level 70.

Is this defense +4 or defense rating +4? This is the only item I have seen that gives + defense, unless it was a typo.

Just got that today from the last boss in the Auchedai Crypts (Heroic)
These epic gems drops pretty often from the last bosses on heroic though.

Strength means more then attack power, it also improves your shield block, so strength deffinately ftw!

Strength is extremely important to a war. It's his aggro gen. And yes, 20 str is 1 block value. That means with ~22% block and imp shield block, every 20 strength is going to be saving you a substantial amount of damage per fight. Sure, the 5 more damage you block might not sound like much, but it adds up. Especially wiht the new influx of block value items.
