very nice gem.
0.125% of less getting hit, and about .25% less dmge taken from crits.
+60 life too. i got this and put it into my arena chest.

As a healing priest in arena, this is about the best gem I have found to fill all those yellow slots in my arena gear.

I know I could put in pure stam gems and give up my socket bonuses, but I've already got over 10k life and I think at this point, extra resilience will help survival more than extra hp.

In 2.4 they are going to remove the unique-equipped part of this item, so if you keep running ramparts you can fill your pvp gear with these beauties.

In 2.4 a craftable version of this gem was added, which actually has 1 more stamina. Steady Seaspray Emerald.

resilience is pvp gear. defense adds + to parry dodge and block, this does not.

best pvp healing priest gem...most of the sockets for the gladiator's set are yellow

Best possible thing you can put in the yellow socket of the gladiator's chest. Resilience and Stam do well for tanking without making it wasted in PVP.

lol, ones that posted about defence = crit immune have absolutely no idea what they are talking about.

Basically bosses are 3 levels higher than tank and that's why boss have his low(5%?) chance to crit.
Great def diminish this chance to crit to 0(or maybe there is still 1% crit possible no idea), but def wont help you vs huge(compared to bosses) crit chance of melee classes.

You, imba def tank, try to duel usual rogue. Do you see 0 crits on you? dont think so

(disclaimer: im caster all my wow life, but this is just common sense)
