I'de say that this is better than Wolfslayer Sniper Rifle (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=28581).

This gun has 2 red slots, and u can put pvp gems then obviously a scope which would boost the damage by a lot especially if your a Dwarf Hunter (+5 guns).

The only thing is now that we viewers need is a pic :)

This gun is much better than wolfslayer imo. Putting two pvp gems in this with the added crit bonus would be a nice upgrade. said and done its 10ap, 2dps, and 3crit raiting vs. 1 agi and 3 top end dmg.

Perhaps I am missing something but I why am I seeing Solid Star of Elune gems (+12 stamina), a blue gem, in a red socket? I'm confused.

"this is a tank gun" i have never really gotten this? is it a tank gun cuz of the slots? cuz a hunter could swing in a 20 AP AND THEN A 16 ap gem and have uber mofo damage.. imo, all ranged should go to hunters first.. if the hunter has a wpn thats better, then the tank, rogues and other needs should roll.. and only then.

Speaking from a DPS warrior point of view;

If you can get this, GET IT. It's closely tied for the best ranged slot item with Ancient Amani Longbow, while socketed with 2x Bold Crimson Spinels. In other words, you won't be replacing this ''beaty'' for quite a while.

Gyro-Balanced Khorium Destroyer is better for a tank in terms of full out Stam. Even though it only has one socket, it still has +27 Stam on the gun already. Most warriors who can tank Doomwalker already have a high amount of dodge and block and such.

I don't think people realize how rare these guns are in game. ORB loot (1-2 times a week assuming Doomwalker is taken down relatively quickly versus some servers where he's up for days) + a low drop rate and a high probability someone in raid will equip it means these very, very, very rarely show up on AH. The two I've seen sold went for over 5k each time fast.

And as the previous poster said, not everyone wants to use an obtuse exotic bird as their weapon. I'm willing to take the potential dps hit (depending on haste/gear) to use something that isn't visually repulsive. I can't stomach the look of the Xbow and everyone and their mother seems to have one on the 3 servers on which I play. I'll gladly spend my badges elsewhere and continue to use this purdy thang which is a 1:1 thing of beauty. I don't spam macros. I prefer to own my dps versus face roll.

Two red sockets...
2x Bright Living Ruby = 32 AP...

That gives this 45 total Ranged Attack Power, plus a tiny bit of crit.

SHA-BEEZ-WAH! this is a nice gun, accualy is the highest DPS gun on file(at least on this site), i like guns b/c i am dwarf hunter (yea we gotz teh +5 skillz) < is great to not miss on aimed shotz

Great tank rifle actually, I know, hunters are gonna be like wtf. Anyways 12 stam in each gem, mega stam and agility for dodge crit and AC. Awesome. Like the dragonbreath!

This is very appearently a Hunter weapon, therefore, I would never take it from a Hunter, I a Rogue would like to have it because of it's +13 Agilty, +3 Crit Rating, and red sockets.
But give these to Hunters first.

I am sorry for all of the non-hunters out there that want this weapon... but this is no doubt a hunter weapon... the speed is perfect and the DPS is crazy for a hunter... plus the agil and 2 red sockets might come in handy for a hunter... so please other classes dont be PLAYER HATERS!

This weapon is BEST for Survival Hunter, followed by agility based Rogue, then Fury/Arms Warrior. In the new patch, this gun will have a possibility of 36 agility!

As for a gun for warriors that want stamina, in the next patch Engineers will be able to make a gun with 27 stamina and a yellow socket that gives +(I think 3)stamina for it's socket bonus. Warriors can get 39 stamina if using a solid star of elune. It also is BoE and has 75 dps. Only downside is the mats are very expensive to make this.

Now you can't say that the Barrel-Blade Longrifle is the best for tank warriors. I think the main rule of any loot is not to roll against someone in need of an item more than you, no matter what class you are.

It's Gyro-balanced Khorium Destroyer. If you have a friend who you can help getting the Nether its price is about 1,000 gold. It's 27 Stamina, and a Gem Slot, so with a 12 Stamina Gem we're talking almost 40 Stamina on a ranged weapon.

I currently own a Shuriken (Thrown Weapon) of the highest level possible (70) with the Random Enchantment "of the Champion", it has 12 Stamina, 8 Strenght and 10 Defense (roughly), this would give me +270 HP (more as full Protection).

This Gun might be a bit better, but I'm sure a guild who reaches this place any time soon will know how to distribute loot for the best of the guild's progression.

Basically, comparing those two:
Barrel-Blade Longrifle:
16 Agility
12 Stamina (Gem)
12 Stamina (Gem)

Gyro-balanced Khorium Destroyer:
27 Stamina
12 Stamina (Gem)

So, going from Gyro-balanced Khorium Destroyer to
Barrel-Blade Longrifle will give you 16 Agility (0.5% Dodge, 0.4% Crit, 32 Armour, roughly) for a cost of 15 Stamina (150 HP).

Question is, who needs the upgrade most? Is it worth giving the tank a tiny upgrade if the Hunter needs it more?

It's the same arguing who deserves this weapon etc.

Well, basically it's the same as the one that drops in Karazhan off BBW, if you put AP gems. But for survival hunters, two +8 agi gems is really nice. Aswell as the Blessing of Kings buff, add in 15% increase.

For christ's sake people, don't you ever get tired of the endless debate about which class a weapon is for? Everytime I hope to get some good information about a new or upgraded weapon I have to sift thru the inane and vacuous debate about who the weapon if for. then follow the ludicrous name calling...noob...idiot..so on and so forth. I know most of you are only 12 to 15 years old, but could you alteast attempt to exhibit a modicum of good form and courtesy, and present your thoughts and ideas without the unecessary rudeness and name calling?

I'm a rogue, and I would love to have this, and I'd be more than willing to wait for all the hunters and Prot warriors to pick it up for themselves before I start rolling on it. It does indeed benefit Hunters most considering what they'd have access to before being able to raid Doomwalker, and Prot Warriors need the best stats that you can get them. DPS warriors and Rogues are at the bottom of the roll list for this, and I'd give DPS warriors first dibs because we do need good off tanks in raids.

It's nice for a rogue, but hunters benefit so much more from it than a rogue ever could, that's all I can say on the subject.

Its a great gun for any gun using class but ungrades in ranged dps goes to ranged based class b4 upgrade to and mellee focused claas anytime in any sensibly prioritized guild.

The day a war rolls this over a hunter is the day i make a deep thunder >.>

ok ill keep this short if your like me you use steady shot alot and right after you use that your range wpn will deal another shot so for max dmg u want the wpn that does the highest end dmg

most of our guild hunters have sunfury (a far amount have moved to BM), and we kill the bosses that drop the steampistol, amani, tuskbreaker (we can do timed chest-one of our hunters already has this), but no ranged weapons further than that.

(haste on tusk bring its to 2.86 speed, giving him 2.08).. this would give a sunfury hunter with no haste a 1.88 from a 2.1 (quiver/sunfury)... giving them 0.38 'slack time' between auto/steady, instead of 0.6 slack time

being that sunfury is a bit more dps, wouldn't the barrelblade be a tad better for BM hunters who rely on auto/steady rotation.. since they can get a tighter rotation? anyone run any dps tests?

For a BM hunter the 2.6 weapon speed is perfect, so combine this (with a +Crit Scope and two +8 AGI gems), and the easily obtained https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=34014/vengeful-gladiators-waraxe (with the +35 AGI enchant on). This, in my opinion, is the best pre BT/MH weapons combo.

In total these give:

+62 STA
+77 CS
+67 AGI
+92 AP
+15 Hit
-98 ArP

Which works out as:

+159 AP (including AGI)
+5.16% Crit

Or if you prefer AP to Crit, then you can swap Savagery & two +16 AP gems, for the +35 AGI enchant & two +8 AGI gems, to give:

+210 AP
+3.89% Crit

The additional ArP, Hit & Stamina are also very nice.

2.4 this ad DW other loot will be BOE, this is awesome sauce for BM hunters, imho this wep is good but shouldnt cost more than 500g, wolfslayer sniper rifle is a fine substitution or the xbow that will be coming in 2.4 that u can buy with like 150 badges....so yea 500g im i in the right ballpark on that guess or what plz comment back :P

Too fast for 1:1.5 rotation in SV or MM specs. PURELY a BM weapon for serious raiding hunters (if you are downing DW, i assume you are... Serious that is, not nessecarily BM).

Though after 2.4 the BoE status will probably land this rilfe in the hands of pvp hunters everywhere (2.6 shot speed is god when you can't steady shot effectively)

I hope a previous poster was right about this just costing 500g in the auction house when it arrives ......lol...but I kinda think it will go for MUCH more.....until Lich King draws near anyway and every item presently in the game will be facing obsolescence.

I'm intensifying my dailies to gather more gold. So I will be ready if it shows. (Now if only the Halberd of Desolation would show up in the auction house too)
