Edit September 2- With the epics in 10 / 25 mans buffed these gloves are nothing special anymore, the lack of stats really make them not up to par with todays epics.

They're good gloves for ALL out DPS, but with the lack of stats its not something you want to have on all the time.

These appear to have been overlooked in patch 2.1 along with all the gear which both Kazzak and Doomwalker drop.

Yes, in the patch they will be changed to 126 Armor, 20 Hit Rating, 25 Spell crit rating, 30 +damage and healing.

Lacks white stats, but that's what makes these gloves great. Blows away Tier 4 for Mages, and is on par with Spellfire unless you've capped out hit.

The best gloves for pure damage for mages - better than Spellfire, T4 or T5 given you are not capped on hit. Only upgrades are in T6 instances. No stats, but plenty of raw dps.

+48 damage with 2 Runed Living Rubies
+ 28 crit rating with socket bonus: 1.3% spell crit that's around 20 damage for a Deep Fire mage.
+ 20 hit rating: 1.59% spell hit that's around 20 damage for a Deep Fire mage.

So worth 88 damage points and has amazing distribution of damage points.

Tier5 mage gloves are worth 65 damage points. (27 Int + 27 CritR + 41 dmg)
Tier4 mage gloves are worth 70 damage points (22 Int + 19 CritR + 17 HitR + 35 dmg)
Spellfire gloves are worth a maximum of 84 damage points (10 Int + 23 CritR + 50 dmg + 2 Runed Living Rubies)

The rest of glove options such as Magtheridon's or Attumen's are all inferior too.

For Spriests, stick with the Handwraps of flowing thought (Kara) or the Studious Wraps (badge reward).

Even if your hit is capped, these gloves are great, you can dump some of your +hit gems or enchants to get more spelldamage out of those slots.

For warlocks, these gloves are actually better than T6 gloves from pure DPS point of view (not taking into account 4xT6 set bonus).

I got these today. As a destruction warlock, these suit me very nicely. Doomwalker is somewhat troublesome to take down, though any decent raid should be able to. Of course you will be subject to that raids loot distribution system, so people needn't bother crapping on about rolling on this.

These gloves give incredible +damage. Obviously they don't incur any other stats bonuses, but if you use them mostly/solely for pve, you can afford to forego some stamina and intellect for such superb damage. In fact you can afford to have a couple of pieces of gear without stats if they add enough +damage in return.

no stats -_- why do you people like them so much? there not that great its doomwalker hes a 40man! and karas a 10 man and you can get better there still nice tho but id pass 30spell dmg isnt that great i get more on mine from kara

Any caster that can't afford an item to take a stat hit for higher dps stats is probably a caster who has no idea how to itemize. But it's just as good. Leaves this and stuff like the Belt of Blasting for better overall players. And that's really not a backhanded slap at anyone. It just gets annoying to look at people turn their nose up at stuff like this while drooling all over crap like the Trousers of the Astromancer when they aren't even close to being hit capped. I'm not sure what planet you live on, but last I checked, the summary of your character is their items as a whole, not one thing that doesn't have health or mana on it.

I have these on my destro warlock, and they are gemmed with dual +9 spelldamage gems. My current stats are 1222 spelldamage (counting Fel Armor), 22.54% crit, and 200 spellhit. I also have 9527 health and 8986 mana unbuffed. These gloves were huge for me. They replaced my Voidheart Gloves, and allowed me to take out *five* gems and replace them with spelldamage ones, which has reflected better on my stats as a whole. Resulted in 36 more damage than I had before counting what these gloves give me over Voidheart, and finally put me over the 1200 damage threshhold that most hit stacking destro locks don't get to until into BT and MH. All for a miniscule hit in health/mana? Yes please.

I love these things. I don't see myself replacing them until my guild gets to Azgalor and I can get t6. And considering that we just started Kael last, I have a feeling that's probably a ways away.
