Very good ring for paladin from priest POV. I wouldnt even dare to think about taking this from paladin seeing that they get far superior benefit from crit. Priests are better off with ring from Prince imho.(https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=28763)

I'm torn as a Paladin between this ring and the Jade Ring of the Everliving from Prince. They are both great rings and very similar. This ring is a touch over 1% spell crit, the Jade Ring is 12 mp5.

In a post-illumination nerf world, I'm tending to lean toward the Jade Ring as a Paladin for most situations, although on some fights I can recognize the benefit of the spell crit.

For me, it comes down to having a shadow priest.

If I have a shadow priest in my group, I will throw out a bunch of mp5 in favor of spell crit, int, and +healing, relying on their regen to keep my mana up. This allows me to put down a good deal more effective healing on my targets with FoL or HL.

Without a shadow priest, mana becomes precious and spell crit does not provide the consistent longevity of mp5. In these situations, I put on more mp5 gear and scale back on crit and +healing somewhat.

Because of this, the raid knows that I can keep a tank up on most 25 man bosses with just 1 other Paladin (or sometimes alone, such as on Fathom-lord) if I have a shadow priest and if I do not, that they may need an additional healer or two.

This flexibility is very helpful to the raid by allowing the paladin to serve as both a powerful main healer and an effective team healer and (imo) this ring is crucial to that flexibility.
