When I and my party members completed this quest, we each had 2 of these books in our inventory. When completing it, the NPC only took one. I don't see any other use for it, so assuming its trashable.

Maybe it's just in case you're killing the guys around him (for Scryers stuff?) and you accidentally pull him? Since he's unkillable without it...

If you happen to have a spare (After doing it with a friend) it might be kinda cool to keep it for awesome factor. A book with the true name of every demon in existence? I'd keep it :P

Both Scryers and Aldor can start the quest chain that includes this quest. For Aldor it start with a quest to search for weapons amongst some bloodelfs; starting location is the Sha'tar Altar in Shadowmoon Valley.

At end of quest line I 've done the targets.
But I accidentilly destroyed the book.
Now I can't complete.
Can I get a new book?

Does this item drop off Blackheart himself, or is it in a chest in the room somewhere? I killed him last night and there was no book to loot.
I have the quest: "Book of fel names" So what gives? anyone know?

Note: I did die while being mc'ed and was in the process of ghost running back to the room when he was killed, so maybe that had something to do with it?

Completed quest, still have the book... don't think there's any reason to hang onto it.

Read the quest description for the followup! You need to burn the book in the presence of Varedis's demonic form. So KEEP THE BOOK.

When I turned in the quest Varedis Must Be Stopped I still had the book. Do I need it for something or is it bugged?

The quest says "Of course we must destroy this book, but not before we use it to destroy Varedis."

and

"Allow me to take what remains of the Book of Fel Names. I will make sure it's properly... disposed of."

This kind of didn't happened :)

Ok,am I the only one who actually listened to Altruis telling his story? He says that this book contains the true names of every demon everywhere, and that it can be used to defeat them. So WHY CAN'T I KEEP IT AND USE IT ON OTHER DEMONS?
