The armor ignoring shouldn't be underestimated.
For a rogue, for example add Serrated Blades (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/spell=14173#z0z) and The Night Blade (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=31331) (I suppose in offhand) and it could get pretty tasty.
Or 2 x The Night Blade (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=31331) with 41-0-20

well, instead of relying on the proc of Night Blade, why not go for something guaranteed if you want to focus on armor piercing effects?

The Heroic Blood Furnace trinket (600 on activate)
Warpspring Coil (1000 on proc)

860 + (175 * 4) + 600 + 1000 (idealy) that's already quite a bit of armor gone. it practically negates cloth, and a good chunk of leather. stacked with Expose Armor you take a lot more off of high-armor targets making warriors / pallys / feral druids a bit easier to deal with.

ofc u got other items like badge of the swarmguard and icon of unyielding curage but i guess this is maximum for a hyjal / bt raiding rogue, but as u see the only items that has hit rating on top of this is ring from illidan, tier 6 gloves, warp-spring coil and madness of the betrayer so i guess ur hit rating with this would be low for pve raiding.

No raiding rogue uses serrated blades, so I don't see why your taking this into account. The only part of the Sub spec that is even viable for raids is 5/5 Opportunity for a backstab spec. Otherwise no rogue this far would have serrated blades to attempt to have more dps output.

Off subject here- But these used to look like th T5 Rogue set legs (Deathmantle) why did they change them to a gray T2(Bloodfang) with glowing blue?-Do you guys think it looks better? I personally think it looks better-but also somthing out of D2 socketed with alot of sappire/skulls

If your raid is in MH/BT you won't go down in the subt. three because you will loose some "must" talents. Not to speak about wearing The Night Blade, having lots of best dagers all before getting to this point (kz, ssc, tk, mh ... arena, honor, ...)

Every serious high end pve rogue will go to a standard combat or mutilate build, so even if your numbers are corrects, this is like speculating about nothing.

yes armor ignore when stacked heavily for a rogue can increase damage by a lot.
imagine a mage with 1000 armor getting 10% mitigation (for the sake of making explaining this easy) 175 armor ignore would mean 1.75% less mitigation and therefore more damage.
Recently a lot of armor ignore is being added .mostly ive seen it on a few secluded pieces from BT and hyjal and the rogue tier 6 set
previously there were similar procs for weapons. now its on armor too!

You can't define the class the gear is for by a name.
A dps feral has just as much right to roll as a dps rogue they use similiar stats

Lets hear it for the rogues. Man it annoys me with peoples attitudes. most fights in every instance is about time. The longer it goes for the more damage is done to the group...the more aggro is to be kept and held, the more mana spent on heals, the more chance of something going wrong, the more your repair bill will be. Kill a mob in 20 secs with 2 healers or kill em in 10 with some raw, no crap dps.

Don't forget the difference it makes getting through the trash with our cc, dps, aggro dumping ability, ot ability (stunlock,evasion, blade fury)

Fact is all classes have a role, rogues are getting the short end atm with istances and quest rewards in BC.

PS: that drop is rogue over druid anyday...thats our job, damage. Druid will get a call for up for the other, healthy like things you mentioned, rezzing, heals etc. But a pure damage item..like that goes to a rogue.

These are definitaly rogue's. I'm a feral druid and I would pass to a rogue any day. Go run heroic mana tombs and get Forestwalker Kilt. It's extra armor + 2 12 stam blue sockets makes it better for tanking. Put a 16 ap in the red socket and its better for dps, so just let the rogues have these.

I know this is for rogues but we had no rogues nor druids that need leather so I (hunter, YES HUNTER!) took them and slapped +30stam+10agi making it an insane +91stamina +60agility. Now I have 2000 attack power, 5000 armor and a massive 12k hp ;]

EDIT: 2200 attack power, 5,2k armor, 11,1k hp, dealing 3600 crits ;P

are these better than Skulker Greaves? i've added 3-8Hr gems with 50ap+12crit leg enchant on my skulker.

The large amount of +agility make these ideal for feral-druids and yes, since most encounters don't require more than two tanks we usually spend a lot of time dpsing. Since feral-druids will most likely use their t6 for tanking (try to find leather drops with that kind of AC...) we have to use random drops for DPS, unless your guild is so far that you can actually go for your 2nd token. Until then I'm glad to be in a raid where no rogue would complain if he got outbid by a druid. That's what DKP are for and if a rogue really wants these he'd bid more.
