This leather belt has FAR and away the most armor of any leather belt yet seen in BC, and it has great feral druid stats on top of it. The fact that it is a quest reward makes it even more attainable.

In my opinion, there should be no bear druid above level 68 without this belt (unless he or she happens to prefer an epic item or a set item over it). It is worth approximately 350 x 6 = 2100 armor in bear form, with the thick hide talent.

The agility on this makes me want to cry, but in the long run the armor more than makes up for it

Yet another green item with freakishly high armor -- the highest leather belt in the game -- and some decent stats. Should this really be green?

I've already got over 20k armor in bear form, unbuffed, (level 64) though I am sacrificing some stats to do it. (This item would be a massive boost no only in armor but also in stats.) I find that level 67 mobs that do only physical damage are quite easy, and I can take two of them at once with no risk whatsoever.

I'm not complaining -- I'm just puzzled. They have this item and the green gloves (I think) also with freakishly high armor and decent stats. They are so out of whack with other items of the same level, or any level, that it makes me think they are a mistake.

Blizz purposely put these items with high armor specifically for druid tanks. Some people just dont realize that these things are high armor and tend to sell it and later regret selling it.

Alliance: To begin this chain, speak to Earthmender Sophurus (36,57 Shadowmoon), who will give you the following:

Alliance/Horde: Go to Earthmender Torlok (Death Forge, 42,45), complete the Enraged Spirits of Fire/Earth/Water/Air chain that he gives you; easy stuff.

For a bear tank, which would be better?

Manimal's Cinch or General's Leather Belt?

Manimal's Cinch has a very nice amount of armor, but General's Leather Belt has better stats (minus strength).
