Found this earlier in Heroic Mechanar from a chest.

It's a decent piece of kit but compared to other items you would have around level 69 from instancing or even questing, it's AH bound from the start.

Anyhow, i put it up for 200g buyout and within a few hours it was sold. Easy money.

uses the skin for darkmantle armor, the tier 0 upgrade (0.5)

is a very good DPS piece for rogues, and even feral druids and hunters.

Found this in Shadow Labs out of a chest right before Blackheart. This piece is very good for rogues and feral druids. The crit rating and atk pwr are amazing for DPS. Myself, a 70 rogue, i didn't need it because i had already bought it on the AH for around 40-45g =] Seems cheap for such a great piece of armor, seeing that it can replace 5 man drops and quest rewards without a doubt. Not to mention it looks nice too!

If your using a cat feral druid build, this chest doesn't beat the Chestguard of the Talons https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=31285#M0z The Dark Stalker provides less attack power, dmg, and armor. Only positive thing about this chest piece is that it provides a little under a 0.2 percent more to Crit chance. IMAO not worth it.

This chest dropped off a zaxxis raider for me while grinding for Consortium rep. i was still using a lvl 61 gem piece which maxed at 72 AP but it did have an agi bonus. But i definitly do much prefer tis piece for i was missing ALOT of stam and the extra AP definilty helps me out.

This item doesnt have the greatest amount of stamina but in my eyes its crit strike and AP cover it up and make it ideal for rogues .

Note:

+1 crit strike is 0.1
+10 would be 1.0

Found in a chest while running Shadow Labyrinth. Went to AH (Alliance) and found one already in there for 35gold bid only. Desided to hold onto mine for a little longer.

It must have been because no one on my server had gotten too high level, and not been farming. Now I see up to 7 on ah all the time XD Managed to get mine for 25g, actually.

I started to grind these guys for 10 minutes and it dropped after killing 5-7 guys. Not bad.

I got this from the AH last night for 40g which I consider to be a good deal. I was concerned whether this would beat the Vest of Vengeance given the right set of gems, but I feel confident that for the price this is a great chest to instance with until I get my Dungeon Set 3.

How is this compared to the Primalstorm Breastplate? https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=29973/primalstorm-breastplate I have the mats for Primalstorm, but Chestguard in the bank. I'm just not sure how agility equates to critical strike rating. I'd like the hit rating from Primalstorm and the lack of AP can be made up easily in other places, but I'm not sure which is better or if they are about the same?

lol this sucks for 69 you can get a great lvl 58 cheast peice from an easy quest. the iteams name is Jerkin of the Untamed Spirit has as much armor and stats as a lvl 70 iteam,easy to get

I think the real question is how does this compare to Darkstorm Tunic https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=31718/darkstorm-tunic? (easy quest reward)

Or how does it compare to Mag'hari Scout's Tunic https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=28172/maghari-scouts-tunic?(a bit tougher quest line but doable with 2-3 people)

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Darkstorm Tunic actually gives you more AP, though a bit less stamina and how much less crit? I'm not sure what the crit difference is, maybe around 0,5-0,8% less...? :)

The Mag'hari Scout's Tunic has even higher stats than Darkstorm Tunic but is very similar, high AP but lower crit and stamina compared to Chestguard of the Dark Stalker...

Oh and I'm thinking about the difference from a rogue's point of view! If you're feral druid then go for Jerkin of the Untamed Spirit https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=28051/jerkin-of-the-untamed-spirit I had that for a long long time on my druid, works great for PvP and PvE!
