Has a very strong black glow, similar to the lobotomizer.

Very easy to get starter dagger for level 70. There are a ton of 71dps daggers, it shouldn't have too high of a buyout on the AH.

Dual weilding them makes a nice mutilate combo.

Ced's Carver is a great dagger to get once you hit 70. It has decent stats and solid dps to get the job done. imo, this dagger would be great for mutilate or combat daggers considering its relatively high damage. Even though it has a low drop rate, you can find these on the AH all the time for about 150-200g (server price will vary of course). No doubt about it, this is a great lvl 70 starter dagger.

Got two of them within an hour of each other farming the Mechanar. Kept one for myself and sold the other for 150g. Great upgrade and a nice weapon if your guild is just starting out in Kara. For anyone else wanting to sell it, I suggest waiting till Blizzard nerfs Mechanar farming and these will be worth a lot more. I regret not doing that now.

This dagger is one of the best (outside of raiding) daggers availabe. Not only is it a half decent weapon, with good DPS, and hitting reasonably hard, it is unbeleivable easy to aquire. You will find these in AH most of the time, and only costing on average, 150-200g (expect to pay this), i managed to get a bargain, obtaining two of these weapons for a mere 120g. Bargain.
If you are looking for a weapon to start with when you hit 70, or looking to upgrade, quickly and cheaply, this is the perfect chioce for you.

Yeah I ended up buying these a month ago for around 50g each on Warsong. Very cheap, but great daggers. The higher damage and slower speed also makes for good ambush's and backstabs. The only decent upgrade worth the trouble if you aren't already in any heroic dungeons is just get a good Arena team together and go for the Glad daggers. By the way, anyone know who "Ced" is? Apparently this is his dagger, but a quick search yields no results on wowheads.

Also, the +skill is amazing for mutilate, because you're using two daggers.

In patch 2.4, summoning people as a Warlock in Netherstorm is possible, so you would not need flying mount but at least a warlock in your group.

Over the course of doing dailies, dungeons, etc, I've managed to have two of these drop. I've been saving them for my lower level hunter alt, who I'm considering spec'ing Beast Master. I'm wondering if dual-wielding these is a good idea at 70. Any suggestions?

I'm 66, and on my server this is going for around 35 to 40g. Should I go ahead and buy one now while the price is good, or wait for something else? I have a very good OH for now (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=31193). I'm currently a Subtlety spec, but that will probably change after the Cheat Death nerf.

A couple of these for 90g a pop makes a good pair of mutilate daggers. These are as good as blue-quality daggers get, speed and damage range is identical to level 70 HWL daggers; yet these are very inexpensive and easy to acquire. :D

Compared to other similar daggers it is incredibly easy to get this one. Instead of waiting for Murmur to drop the best magical mainhand dagger (1.9 speed)... lousy 9% drop chance, you better buy this one from the AH. Price is about 140 gold and is going down steadily.
It also isn't rare, you will normally find several in the auction house.

For those who are debating on whether or not to get this or Grind for the other ones... I got this on the Doomhammer Server (Locanis) and my damage went up exponentially.

Compared to the more prestigious daggers (Shanker, Shiv, Guile of Khoranzi, Fang of Vashj and Retainer's Blade) So is SOOOO much less work involved for such and increase in output.

I bought one for 100 gold and will buy another one soon. Yes one of the aforementioned daggers will replace Ced's carver... but for its performance, I would recommend getting one while you grind away for the others. It makes life soooo much easier. 1.5k Backstabs are always a plus.

These things are flooded in AH. You should be able to get one around 100g. Considering 100g is so easy to get in the outland, so I got one for myself instead running more instances and not seeing the stuff i want to drop. Save your time for something better than grinding for a cheap blue dagger.

Is this weapon worth getting for a rogue that is going to be mutilate spec for pvp...in arena. is the damage any good along the lines for pvp. or should i stay sword spec in combat?

be patient... always saw 3 of these on ah ranging from 100-140g... ive been thinking of getting one of these b4 i hit 70.. always passed up deals cuz i thouht i could get cheaper than 100g... but then i kept looking and looking never finding one :( i would now have glady payed 120g (at lvl 69)

i went to the ah as soon as hit 70.. still using crappy daggers.. praying for this... i looked and thoguht i didnt find one but when i switched over to second page of weps i finally found mine, 9g 90s 99c... clicked it faster then i could practically look at it.. be patient maybe u'll get my luck :)

Bought 2 of these a long time ago for my rogue. Think i gave about 70-100 g each. Now im 69 and hoping to be 70 soon.

Was hard to choose enchants for these daggers, but finally i settled for +15 agil on one ( since i had the mats laying around ) and Steel Weapon Chain on the other since i had a bunch of those.

Nice daggers all and all. Droprate usually sux for things you want ( dungeondaggers that is ) so now i can focus on gear and possibly arena right away. Nothing else to add i guess.

Just sold one for 250g on AH (Alliance). This dagger will be a lot more harder to get since the Mechanar Chest Solo'ing will be nerfed in 2.2, get them now while they are somewhat cheap.

Imo its overrated just run arc/SL for the dagger from there or pvp for a GM/hwl 1(GM/HWL add hit rate which is nice for pve)

Very excellent dagger if you just got to lvl70. This thing is paving my way toward better gear and will provide me with decent dps until then. Inexpensive too, picked it up for 90g on Demon Soul. And it beats running Arc for the dagger with the same stats (although it looks much nicer than Ced's).

the blue daggers at 70 (HWL shanker, spineripper,ceds) are really easy to get but its really depending how you play... if you got banks and can afford 100g for a ceds its yours but....if you like to instance and have patience spineripper is yours... if you just hit 70 with some quest blues or something you can go for the HWL and arena daggers so it really depends what you play like or prefer

ok stop talking about the damn price on this dagger! that's not the thing that matters. This dagger.. i got it for 45g. Anyway, this thing is good for alot of resons:

It's fast and has a good hit rating

It's great for any spec rogue.

Its good for pvp

Seriously people stop talking about the thing that doesnt matter: the price. If you are a 70 rogue buy it dammit! its good and you will enjoy it. (plus its got serious looks lol)

This sells for 35 - 60g on my server, I bought it for 20g. Ended up just using the Ceremonial blade, and Unquenched thirst one, until i had the honor for the Gladiator daggers, and sold this for 45g lol Very standard dagger and easy to get, theres usually about 5 - 10 of them in the AH always.

If you want to make the largest profit, wait until there aren't any others in the AH. I put mine up a few days ago for 80g bid, 100g buyout just to see if anyone would take it (there weren't any others in the AH) and someone bought in within a couple hours. I checked the AH just now and there are three, the cheapest going for 40g.

So my advice is wait until yours is the only one on the market. It's all about supply and demand.

I see these normally going for 35-40G each in the AH.

Great item for the price but definitely not worth paying more than that for them because they seem to be pretty common.

There's always at least one available on the AH, I've sometimes seen as a many as 5 listed at once.
