Judging by the 'Dropped by' list, this is a world drop, but with a very limited drop chance. There are only two listed, as of 04/08/07, non-instance mobs that drop this. This will probably be upwards of 1,000g on most servers.

You do lose 7 int, 10 spirit, and the 6 mana/5sec but gain 27 stamina. It might be a big lost but the Naaru pants are from a relatively easy quest chain.

Pants of the Living Growth are great if you have plenty of gold and are trying to gear up for Karazhan, or if you are lucky enough for them to drop so you can sell them. But if you are looking for pants to equip, I recommend going over to The Opera for the Earthsoul Leggings (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=28591).

You will get more Armor, Int, Stamina and +Healing. You will also get 3 gem sockets to make up for the shortage of spirit or MP/5, and it's a much higher drop rate.

This kilt is nicer to look at though.

Dropped for me from the last boss in the Blood furnace on Heroic mode. I had no idea bosses could drop BOE epics..I was very surprised and happy to say the least. Best thing about it is that he also dropped epic plate boots and 4 blues along with these pants...wow! Was worth the 20g in repairs from wipes.

bought these from AH for 400g, not sure if they are worth it. High in spirit 35 x 1.15 for me. Which is nice for tree of life. But also high on the ol +healing which is great for someone like me who mainly uses lifebloom, wacked some Silver Spellthread on there and was good to go.

Not a random instance drop, dropped today for me when grinding Primal Waters from the Crashing-Wave Spirits in Nagrand.
Sells for about a 1000g median, so I'm very happy with them :)

My guild run got this from a drop before the 2nd boss in Black Morass. Not sure if it was from a trash mob or one of the mini bosses as I wasn't the one that looted the corpse.

I have the hallowed trousers on my resto druid, and I can't see how sacrificing +1mp5, 7 int, and 25 stam can be worth 17 spi and +3 healing. I'm not worried about armor as a healer too much either. Am I wrong or should i just AH these?
I think this is pretty dissapointing for an Epic.

Was grinding Elite Trees in Skettis with my Feral Drood and got these =) tho my main is a raiding hunter so hopefully they bring in some gold :P

I don't think anybody here understands what "random world drop" means. It doesn't matter where you are. It doesn't matter who you are. It doesn't matter what you are fighting, or with whom, or what time of day, or what sort of motes you were farming at the time. It does not make a tiny bit of difference whether you were wearing your lucky underwear, or whether you had cheerios for breakfast that morning. There are no such things as "sweet spots" for boe epics. It simply is a RANDOM world drop.

Allow me offer you the dictionary definition of "random"

ran·dom (rān'dəm)adj.
1. Having no specific pattern, purpose, or objective: random movements.
2. Mathematics & Statistics Of or relating to a type of circumstance or event that is described by a probability distribution.
3. Of or relating to an event in which all outcomes are equally likely, as in the testing of a blood sample for the presence of a substance.
