These sell very poorly. People just don't want the over time effect and the negative effect really hurts it. So sad. I've slashed prices 7 times and have yet to sell the ones I made.

Hunters are the only ones I could see using this.

If people are looking for clever alternatives to health/mana pots, they usually go for dreamless sleep pots, so I don't see much of a market for this.

The mats are also pretty ridiculous. Mana thistle, while not as bad as ye old black lotus, is still rare enough to prevent mass consumption of this potion.

this pot is great for hunters. more mana than super mana pot, and a garantueed amount every time. used them for the first time in karazhan yesterday, and loved it :)

Does this effect last through death? I can see both ways, and if it does last through death it would severely limit their use by mainline casters on new/tough encounters where you may be attempting the boss multiple times without the time to wait for the debuff to drop.

I actually use these quite a bit during boss fights for my holy priest, simply due to the fact that they give more mana at a pretty small +healing cost (so long as you don't take more than one during a fight)

I will generally pop a super mana pot, then release a shadowfiend, then based on where we are in the fight, i will then pop a fel mana or a super.
the only time i've used a fel mana twice is when we fight moroes, since you cannot release your shadowfiend (he will attack your shackle when moroes vanishes)

if you're concerned about the -50 to healing that comes with using them twice in succession, then pop one of the +healing pots that give you +50 healing :D really i'm never too concerned, as when i'm buffed in kara i'm at or around 1600 +healing.
all in all, this thing is my fave pot, it has saved my ass a few times lol.

Have to be willing to spend tons of gold if you want these pots... I find it fine using super mana potions instead of wasting a huge amount of gold on these.

As an Enhancement Shaman, these pots are great.
I have no spell power anyway, so the debuff is not a problem.

with the alchy stone, this is a guaranteed 4480 mana back over 24 seconds.

The fact that it is over 24 seconds is actually great since it means you can use them much in the fight.

This is an amazing potion for a priest with Alchemist's Stone. If you have Alchemist's Stone on you, you cannot be stingy by definition, therefore the mats for this potion shouldn't really scare you. ;) It really is worth it. With Alchemist's Stone this potion is nearly equivalent to a Shadowfiend. The only major problem, as mentioned above, is a stacking debuff. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend drinking more than 1 of these during a fight. Drink one, and then use Dreamless Sleep / Super Mana potions.

You also have Shadowfiend + if you are Draenei - Symbol of Hope. I also have Jewelcrafting, so I have my Talasite Owl ready to use in conjunction with Symbol of Hope, giving me an ability to quickly restore my Mana bar atleast 1.5 times during the fight.

This hasn't been mentioned in previous posts, but I'm wondering if paladins can Divine Shield out of the debuff or not. If that's possible, this pot could be the pot of choice over a Super Mana Potion.

One other thing that's great about this potion is that since it's mana over time, you can use it sooner. One of the problems I have (as a healing priest) with super mana pots is that I have to wait until I'm halfway out of mana before using one, and that means a longer amount of time before I can use another. If I use a Fel Mana pot early in the fight when I'm still relatively high in mana, my cooldown will be ready sooner to use a Super Mana pot when I go oom.

Dreamless sleep potions are simply not an option, especially when the healing is so down to the wire that I can barely spare a 1.5 second global cooldown to chug a mana pot. The debuff on this pot is negligible when you've got 1300+ healing. Just don't stack too many of them and you'll be fine.

New fel mana potions used after each fel mana potion will renew the 15 minute debuff duration.

A mage's ice block or a paladin's divine shield does not remove the debuff.

Death removes the debuff.

For non-hunters using a combination of super mana potions and fel mana potions, the best time to use the fel mana potions are at the end of a fight, and super mana potions before that.

I'm guessing that this potion will be more valuable for retpaladins in 2.4, since all spelldamage will be removed from gear anyway, and the minor SD one gains from improved spirit buff isn't exactly anything to whine losing about ^^

With Patch 2.4 "Fury of the sunwell" this item get's more interesting for healing classes. If you combine a Redeemer's Alchemist Stone with a Fel Mana Potion you can restore more than 4000 Mana with this Potion.

As a raiding healer, you can ignore the drawback or compensate the drawback with bufffood and/or trinket-usage.

Same for Caster's with a Sorcerer's Alchemist Stone.

These are great for Retribution Paladins in addition to hunters, since ret paladins have zero spell damage now. (And before only had like 20 in PVE gear)

The debuff lasts 15 minutes according to WoWhead. So I think you should chug 1 or 2 of these and the rest super mana pots for healers and dps. Hunters go wild.

Unfortunately, it does stack :( I drank one right after the cool down was up on the first and the debuff stacked twice. I didn't want to drink another one and lose more healing.

It's good because it doesn't share a cooldown with super mana pots...so it's great for long boss fights where the healers are having mana conservation problems.

If it does not stack, you could use multiple in long fights, which would be much greater than normal mana pots.

If you read it, it doesnt say you have to be sitting to use it. So it could be used like a slow innervate or something along those lines.

Is the debuff magic, or red? I would assume it's red, since if you could just dispel it then priests would have a field day with this item. Kind of a dumb question, but I've never seen it in-game.

Nerf your serpent sting and arcane shot (use steady instead?), but i think that this could overall drastically increase a hunters DPS, as they use their mana for mostly non spell dmg stuff! :D

Unlike Greater Dreamless Sleep pot, the Fel Mana is boosted to 4480 mana with an alchemist stone.

The debuff however is -25 spell damage and -50 healing, and it stacks up to 10 times.

Use them as Feral Druid during Netherspites banish while casting heals to keep my mana up in order to still have enough for shifting back into bear form.

This potion is nice in certain occasions...

Like,

-For hunters, who cares of -dmg/healing on them.

-Alchemist's stone: It gives 300more mana (considering normal mana pot is working ideally).

-Now the biggest reason: Normal Super mana potion restores FROM 1800 TO 3000 mana, while Fel mana potion will always give FULL 3200 mana. At the worst case, you are gaining 1400 more mana than using a normal Super mana pot, besides Mana thistles are cake to farm if you know the spots where they spawn.

Dropped down to snag a nightmare vine and this recipe dropped for me, guess it was my lucky day! I came to check if it shared a cooldown with regular mana pot and apperintly it dosnt so.. wicked!

This is the best mana potion for a raiding hunter.

Arcane shot is also not affected by spell damage anymore.

Well pally bubble doesnt remove the debuff but considering it gives 4480 mana with alchemist stone it seems like a good trade off for -50 healing in some situations

The drop rate must be very nice, doesn't matter which mobs you kill (the Blood Paladins or the Arch Mages). I killed maybe 8 mobs, and I got it!

it is the same cooldown as a Super mana Potion, so if your Thinking that you will get away from getting Mana from a super mana Potion and 3200 mana from the Fel mana Potion your wrong, But i will say this It Helps out healers if you have more then 1500 Bonus healing your alright to use this on long fights, This buff does Stack i myself have had it stack 3 times, but i myself i'm up to 1700 close to 1800 bonus healing Buffed from Raid so the stacks dont bug me but its great to get the Extra mana you need

Not only does this (and the Fel Health Pot) provide a full 3200 (or 4480 with Alchemist's stone), BUT it works over time! I hate needing to watch my health/mana so as not to waste the effects of a potion, especially if it's a variable result. For these Fel pots there are no surprises. It's over time, so I'm much less likely to waste the effect with an overheal/overmana.

This is absolutly the Best Potion for a SP in full nuking. Use it also with Alchemist stone and u will have like infinite mana that for us is like infinite dps.
