A great weapon with a great name, drops in BT, the name makes me think of Fort Minor :)

As a raiding enh shaman this weapon would be an ideal offhand weapon.

the stamina is a bit of a waste but the equip bonuses are very solid.

https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=28433 (wicked plannar edge) is still superior as a mainhand weapon to use due to the increased top end damage.

https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=29924 (Netherbane) is a fair competitor to this as well, even with the 7 point dps loss and lack of hit rating, Rising Tide would be one of the only, if not the only, solid 1h axe offhand (or any weapon type) upgrade for a shaman up to BT, after the Netherbane.

Except for orcs, this is probably not the best enhance off-hand any more, being replaced by the new 2.5 speed badge off-hand.

EDIT: My mistake, if you can get into Sunwell there's a nice fist with two red sockets for some 10 str gems.

I wonder if starting with patch 2.4.2 this weapon will become dw`able.

Prior to patch 2.3 the choice to use a slow or fast off-hand was as much personal preference as anything. This is no longer the case, as several talent changes now favor the use of slow off-hand weapons.

Unbridled Wrath-adjusted so that a slow off-hand weapon has a higher proc chance than a fast weapon.

Sweeping Strikes-moved to the fury tree and increased to 10 swings.

Whirlwind-strikes with both your weapons.

Spartan... a good geared enhancement shaman will most likely be on the top 5 in dps... and how about i show that ass additude of urs up where the sun never shines!

As an enhancement shaman I am always first or second on the dps in kara, and always on top in 5 mans. I'm not one to brag really, but I don't see how people can say that enhancement shaman suck. It's a way cooler spec than resto, and slightly cooler than elemental.

according to elitistjerks, this is the best enhancement mainhand weapon in game atm, befor the rier 3 blacksmithing weapons and syphon of the nazthrezim. any enhancement shaman feeling of himself inferior to other dps classes, and let them have first dips on weapons/rings/amulets/trinkets/capes is really worthy to be pitied... enhancers can do good dps and additionally are the best dps supporters in melee. enhancement IS viable in raids. ever heard of dps-groups? put an enhancer, a fury warrior + rogue/feral/hunter/retri-pala in one group and they will kick ass much more than any caster in the raid ^^ enhancers could put this weapon to a good use, just as good as fury-warrios

( and to the guy above saying that fury warrios should have 2 weapons of matching speed, i don´t think so. i guess a slow weapon in mainhand for high speacial-ability dmg and a fast weap in oh for rage regenerating are more important than flurry )

A rogue should go for slow MH and fast OF because of the attack ability all counts on MH and more poison spam with faster OF.

A fury warrior should go for two fast weapons because the speed does't matters the warrior attack abilities. and fast weapon brings more rage and thus give the warrior more DPS!

For a shammy should go for two slow weapons so once WF has proced it causes more damage the same is for thunderstrike.
