Great bracers. Netherstrike Bracers are good too, but they are better at the longevity aspect. I would recommend getting those if you can and slapping 6 mana per 5 on them, then get these (if you can) and put spell damage on them.

Netherstrike = longer lasting
Bands of the Coming Storm = more dps

Switch out as the encounter demands.

they are remarkably similar to Vindicator Mail Bracers

Assuming you have to chose between these or the vindicator items, the difference in stats for an ele shaman would be (assuming that you put a potent pyrestone in it)

+165 mana
+1.1 mp5
+1 spell dmg
-0.09% spell crit

Of course you could also ignore the socket bonus and dump a runed crimson spinel in it, but purely PvE wise the Bands of the Coming storm are light favorite due to the mana effective.

While these are great, the only concern is that there's an easy-to-attain 35-badge leather wrist called Armwraps of the Kaldorei Protector that either competes with it, or if gemmed certain ways, is actually better on spell crit and spell damage stats.

For a tier 6 Black Temple Supremus rare drop... that's pretty embarrassing. Either the Armwraps need a nerf or these need a buff.

The only edge you get out of these is bigger int, stam, and armor, so they're very slightly better for simple survival in tier 6 content.

I actually have the Vindicator's Mail Bracers and I have them socketed with the +12 Spell Crit gem since I'm a JC, and I prefer them.

Only reason I would consider taking these is for my 'solo' gear so I can slap the +12 crit gem into my Grips of Nature's Wrath along with my +14 Spell Damage gem. Unfortunately when raiding I can't use those because I have to use my Cyclone Handguards for the 2pc bonus for the group I'm in =X

I would recommend any elemental shaman to put in the time to get both the Vindicator's Mail Bracers and the Vindicator's Pendant of Conquest and put Spell Crit gems in both. They are worth the effort, easily obtainable through PvP, and superior than most gear you will get until BT/Sunwell (I've had both since my Kara days)

They would be more awesome with about 3-6 Mp5 too.

11 spell damge and 15 intellect is plenty upgrade.
