The only other non-Skyguard related mob that has this skin are the Netherskates in Shadowmoon.

If you are a sexy male troll and just love wearing skirts, do not buy one of these!
Because Blizzard thinks really really much about Trolls when they create new stuff, the Netherray-"face" will clip with your robe and will be nearly invisible.

When i was at 17000/21k rep with sha'tari skygaurd i decided to grind out the rest in the same night. All my dailies were done, but i spotted the repeatable shadow dust quest. So what did i do? Well i hopped on my mount and raced aroung skettis, killing hundreds of birdies and getting many dusts. 3 hours later i was exalted.
See, the birdies give 10 rep per kill and 6 dusts is an additional 150rep. It adds up and you'll be up 4k rep in ~2 hours.

This is the mount I chose after the long grind, jellyfish are the best.

Actually, ninjaskill, light does offer "resistance" in the physical world. Light pressure is what keeps stars from collapsing upon themselves. It overcomes the force of gravity. Also, all light travels at the same speed. The speed of light. Light can travel at different speeds through different types of media (like water or glass, for example), and this is what leads to refraction.

@ aela.The bolded statement is not always true, a good example is a black hole where in the light is actually sucked back in.

Aye I got mine a day or so ago now, first person on Alliance in Argent Dawn... though I cant say I ever saw the horde with one either.

Tis quite a trek to get it, not for the faint hearted I'd say... but I made a lot of mates to team up with.

This is so the most awesome'est mount in the game.... and the funniest!
And the best part i agree is, no one has one!

Good hunting everyone who plans on doing this! Is worth every bit of effort!

In the mountains where the guys are hiding if you fly south of there right to the tip top a guy is there and if gives you a quest to get a black one so i heard... I cant find one of thottbot thats black and ive been doing this chain for a week its really long

Tips on getting exalted with the skygaurd:

TO start off:

>>YOU MUST HAVE YOUR FLYING MOUNT, EPIC OR NON-EPIC<<

--Skettis

--Talk to the dranei next to the flight master in Shatt'rath city. She will give you an assignment to kill 20 orges on the platue above the aldor terrace. Once that is done, she tells you to talk to the commander of the camp in skettis. If you have explored all of terroker forest when leveling,the only thing that should be blurred out is a mountain area that resembles a baby bottle.

*Once there, get the quest next to the commander. You now must colect 6 shadow dust. To do this you must kill the arrokoa in the area of skettis. These are about a 35-50% drop rate so it should go by quick. When you turn them in, you'll see the commander fighting invisble things. This quest becomes a repeatable and 150 rep is awarded per 6 shadow dust.

*Get your daily off Commander Dorne who will assign you a job of bombing eggs. The eggs are found on top of the structures in the area. most eggs are found in the areas where the daily escort respawns which I will outline further down. However, watch out for the birds that attack you on your mount. THEY WILL KNOCK YOU OFF! If one attacks you, you can ususally shake him off by strafing.

*The second daily is an escort quest where you have to locate a skygaurd person in a cage. The skygaurd escort respawns on the buildings in skettis. Go directly south of the skygaurd command center and when you hit the big bulk of the lake, go to DIRECTLY east OR west to the first structure. There the skygaurd escort respawns but bear in mind that there is only onespawn, and there is 3 respawn points, so I suggest you stay at one and wait...

*There is also one time quests that I havnt outlined

--Og'lari

Og'lari is a small village of non-hostile orges. In order to unlock the faction and the skygaurd dailys that go along with it, you must talk to the dranie in the terrace of light in Shatt'rath. She will tell you to talk to the orge in the lower city. Go find him in the lower city, and he will tell you to talk to his leader in BEM. His leader is located near the arena. Then you will get some five 5-man group quests that you must complete. Afterwards, you will unlock the faction and the skygaurd dailys that go along with it.

>>YOU MUST COMPLETE THE QUESTS IN OGLARI THAT REQUIRE YOU TO GET SOME FLASKS IN ORDER TO UNLOCK THE DAILYS<<<

Now that you have the everything unlocked, get the two dailys in the skygaurd place.

*The first daily is where you have to wrangle aether rays. Use your wrangling rope once they are at 30% health. Capture 5 and complete the daily.
WORDS OF ADVICE: Turn in the daily to the gnome BEFORE moving on to the next daily, or do the next daily first...

*The second daily is similiar to the one is Skettis. You must bomb 15 fel cannonball stacks in order to complete. Just straf and go down to throw. As soon as you start to throw, climb an altitude and go back up verticle. Repeat the proccess.

*Relics emanation daily I do not do, so I will not explain it. If you want to know about it, look it up on thottbot.

*at revered or honored (I forget) you will get a new daily from a guy in og'lari. In order to do this, you must kill 15 demons at either one of the forge camps. (I suggest the north one because the demons there are twice as easy) Be sure to deploy your banishing crystal or you wont get credit! the reward is a darkrune the first time, but after the first time you get a bag that contains a dark rune of a darkrune fragment. If you want to know more about these, look them up on thottbot.

Rays actually give you almost full view of the screen and almost shrink to the bottom of screen in flight mode. Netherdrakes take up the entire screen! I think rays are a more enjoyable ride, and it's good to have something different after that netherdrake explosion, at least on my server!

this grind is easy, ANYONE who did the Netherdrake grind should breeze through this one.

1) Mobs who give rep AND drop items to turn in for MORE rep.
3) So many repeatable quests!
4) these mobs are easy mode!

I started today with 250 rep, I think I did the bombing quest in sketis when I got my flier originally and then forgot all about the skyguard. Anyway I'm ending tonight with 2,755 / 12,000 rep. I ONLY did quests in Skettis not Ogr'ila. Granted I did every quest, and not all are repeatable nore do the repeatables give the same rep as the original but come on! 11,000 ish rep in one day of light grinding?

Oh actually I didn't kill Terrok so that's 1,000 more rep I could have had, plust whatever his death rewards you with, guessing 250 or so.

If you were one of the people who did the timbermaw grind, and I didn't, this is gonna be like taking candy from a baby.

I recently got my nether ray unfurtunetly i havent got 5k gold only 2.5 iv been farming for ages and im not giving up.
i got half way threw reveared with out doing any orgrilla wuests but then i did them and yeah i got my mount for all you ppl out there dont give up and get that mount peace out :)

with the new patch out its easy as hell to get 5000g, i decided to get it about 2 days after the patch came out, auctioned off everything i owned, ended up with about 2200g with what sold and like 2 days of dailies, did another day and auctioned more stuff... got to 3200... and a friend loaned me 2000 =) this was the first epic flying mount i picked up. It looks HOT! (alot better and very different from the other nether rays)
