basically the new flarecore gear except for shadow.
expensive mats, will most likely be required for certain encounters, and are reputation crafted rewards.

on this, you can put a +15 shadow resist enchant onto it. making it a amazing cloak for BT.

however as of 4/25/07, this cannot be confirmed

Expect this + the four other crafted shadow resist pieces to totally change 2v2 arenas. With the cloak enchant, simply switching out these five item slots will give 275 shadow resist on top of whatever other buffs/auras the team might have. 275 SR = 59% average mitigation from shadow spells at lvl 70 (or 59% resist on binary spells); 275 SR + 70 SR aura/buff = maxed out at ~75% mitigation of shadow damage. Expect to see a lot of resists in the near future ;)

people TODAY are switching to shadow resist in arenas, using BOE Greens. No, it does not gimp them much, 2hander still hits hard, their 600 or whatever spelldamage is still effective. What it *does* do is completely and utterly nullifies all warlocks and shadow priests. Nothing, not damage, not fear, not curses, NOTHING works, or ticks at lvl 20 rates. No you cannot switch to holy and fire spells if you are not specced, you might kill your opponents by laughing at you but thats it.

There is Random enchanted greens with sta and shadow resist for most slots, not that much worse than these epics. just have to hunt AH for them.

If you don't feel like spending the money on +15SR, the alternative version for those too lazy to check is +10SR to cloak

You'll need at least to be honored with the Ashtounge Deathsworn to obtain the recipe for this cloak.

The whole epic shadow resist gear (for all armor types) will give 220 shadow resistance.
Combined with this cloak and the Medallion of Karabor, you'll hit 370 shadow resistance with Prayer of Shadow Protection, thus you exceed the resistance capping of 365 for level 70 players versus level 73 mobs, which is inevitable for the whole raid when encountering Mother Shahraz in Black Temple.

.. yes because wearing a resist set in PVP is so much more practical than just killing your opponent. Great SR cloak though.
