personally i would love to have this for my druid, this is a nice upgrade from https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=31110#00Rzc and it has a meta socket so you can get https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=28557 for some more spell damage and possibly get +12stam in the blue sockets make a nice pvp helm :D, or you can get somthing like spell penetration or spirit, for pve,just whatever you perfer :) this can be used either way, pve or pvp

Just a quick comparison with the Gladiator's Wyrmhide Helm for those who are interested, since that recently opened up to much more casual players:

Wyrmhide:
356 armor
45 STA
25 INT
Meta/Yellow socket, +4 resilience bonus
27 Resilience
43 +dmg/heal
7 mp5
(part of a set)

Moon Specs:
326 Armor
22 STA
24 INT
Meta/Blue socket, +5 DMG socket
41 +crit to spells
+50 DMG
Shows gas clouds, improves stealth detection, gives vision zoom.

The Gladiator's helm boosts your durability more and gives the very nice mp/5 bonus. However, you can achieve your set bonus without adding this and the bonuses on it are not spectacular (35 resilience and extra MS in feral are situational and PvP oriented).

The Moonspecs sacrifice resilience for extra spellpower. The bonuses are reasonably useful to a moonkin, but not as focused on them. The stealth detection may be slightly useful in PvP, but etc.

The Moonspecs (or for that matter any of the 350 engineering hats) don't justify picking up engineering on their own but are very nice. However, if you're going to PvP the Gladiator's Helm is probably the way to go.

EDIT: 41 critrating is enormous. So is 50 +dmg. I plan to get these as soon as I can (just hit 310 engineering after leaving it fallow for quite a while).

The info on this item is incomplete. There is a 4th equip bonus: slightly increases your stealth detection. This is quite handy for pvp. Also there is another bonus, Use: Look far into the distance. Basically binocular vision, pretty fun to play with.

Maybe check thottbot for more accurate information on this item. I just crafted them yesterday for my druid since I respecced to moonkin. These are great and I socketed it with the Swift Starfire Diamond which costs 8 spirit shards from the vendor at Stonebreaker Hold in Terrokar.

Can anyone confirm if this is either a skill level 350 or 370 creation? Also, I'm guessing the specc of which you chose doesnt matter? I mean.. If I'm goblin, I'll still be able to make this - Right?

As a druid I could only learn the leather goggles; cloth mail and plate were not availble to train.

They are yellow goggles and match the "blue stormrage" set very nicely! (Lunar Claw Pauldrons, Robes of the Starry Crescent, etc)

I HAVE NOT TRIED THIS YET, however for a twink of level 59 you might be able to obtain this as you only need honored to get into heroic key with the new patch, i know i got honored at level 58 and had my key with the help of run throughs of BF and Ramp, then quested at 58. I dont know the level requirement for heroics but Im going to assume 55, just like the requirement for the regular version. so if you can get a guild group to let u in for the final boss, then u can grab yourself the nether! If anyone tries this please let me know how it worked!

No, it's not possible for a twink to get these at all. Took my druid all of a week to get the mats together for this, and even had to get a loanfrom a friend to finish off those tubes. If you fancy your chances as a 58/59, be my guest, but switch servers to Runetotem so I can laugh, please.

Oh, and I got them yesterday, and had that crappy gem from the spirit shards put in, plus a something talasite. Believe me, something like those do't need no gems...

Well worth the wait to those balance druids whose guilds think they're not good enough for the T4 helm... But who think the tank with Deathblow X11 should get -.-'

If your looking to wear gear from professions then tribal leatherworking is the way to go. Just search "Windhawk" and you will know what im talking about....Willis lol.
