Got this from one of the boars around ogri'la, while famring shards for the dragons. I assume it's a global drop from all the mobs on the plateau's.
Will update tommorow when I've farmed the 50 shards.

Also, as a side note, I presume there's this kinds of drop for every class, or at least for most, and that they have a fairly high droprate.

Got this from a Apexis Flayer near Skyguard Outpost, was really surprised because i am currently farming the trinket for our Feral-Druid.
Had already 50 of the shards to convert it.

Realy nice item, but too less Agi and Sta on it.
May some cute gems can turn this into some nice must-have item ;)

Some crazy joke from Blizz i guess... By the time these drops you would after all reasonable probability already have much more than 50 Apexis Shards. No problem creating the "real items".

And for the record; the depleted does NOT seem to be equipable, so you must get the shards (or get a friend) to create the "real" items...

If anyone else has found these can you please post here from where you got them and the mob that they have dropped off of?
That will surely help until the website has the data up for drops and whatnot.

These dropped for me tonight off a wrath hound in Ogri'la. They do combine to make the Crystalhide Handwraps, which are gonna be great for some shammy, not a rogue like myself...lol!

Dropped from a Flayer for me. Anyone have clue what these are selling for? Before or after adding the shards?

This is my second depleted drop,my first being the badge,lol,and I'm a druid!I got this off the guys in Bash'ir landing.I'm pretty sure that all depleted items are drop off anything that drops the shards.

These and all other depleted items do drop off of any creature that drops apexis shards, but the drop rate is low, the other way to get them is to get honered with ogrilla, then do the quest banish the demons, it then becomes a daily, the reward is a grab bag, it has a chance on containing a Dark rune, with it you can start an event at Shartuul's Transporter, you control a demon, gotta kill other demons/smash the transporter, then fight a boss, after killing him you take him over, same thing kill/smash and fight another boss, capture him and fight other demon's, then you stick with the shivian assasian with it you fight other boss's and eventually Shartuul, he drops one of the depleted items, also you can used charged energy focus or w/e to activate special abilities on your controlled demon hope this explains some stuff and happy hunting

Thought i was gonna farma some Apexis Shards, and then this drops from the first mob i kill, making me a very happy panda :)

Atm mine's saying there selling for 678g! not a bad profit from just trying to get my Orgila dailies. (p.s. There pretty good first epic gloves)

Mine dropped from a Phase Wyrm in Blade's Edge Mountains when I was phased out doing my Shattered Sun daily. I was really siked, first epic world drop for me.
