Be adviced, you may need to kill alot of the Black Blood of Draenor to get the drop. Think I killed around 40-50 before the Sludge-covered Object with the plans dropped, luckily they're easy kills. But the quest is a one-time only quest, so it's well worth it. Got alot of crystals as well, and even some hides.

Unfortunately the plans cannot be looted by the group.

Also notice, that the drop rate listed on wowhead is not correct. It's more like 5-10%.

It looks like the pre-req of needing the escape plans is no longer required. I didn't have the plans, yet the 'Crazed and Confused' quest was available to me. Whether the escape plans still drop is unkknown, they may still drop as a lead-in to the other quest, but you no longer need to farm the plans to do that quest, the NPC will have the ! over his head as soon as you hit friendly rep.

Wow. I have killed a bunch of the Black Blood things and still haven't seen it drop. And yes, I too am friendly with Netherwing and have been doing all the other friendly level daily quests. It's either very bad luck on my part or this is a very low drop rate.

I have been doing these daily quests in netherwing Ledge for about 2 weeks now, plans have not dropped yet...

They drop off the Black Blood of Draenors and Draenor Blood Terrors, the ooze looking things in the Netherwing Mines. Apparently they only drop for you if you have done The Netherwing Mines quest.

This drops from sludge covered objects, which have a 50% drop rate from Black Blood of Draenor which are located in Netherwing Mines. You can only start the quest at friendly reputation. I got 7g59s and 350 rep with Netherwing at friendly.

It continues with the quest called "Seeker of Truth" where you must find a murkblood overseer and interrogate him, find out the "master mind" and get the hand of the overseer.

I've been searching for these plans for 2 days now. I'm friendly with the netherwing and get those little sludge covered drops all the time from the oozes but no plans. Has this quest been killed since the patch. Talked to several other people on my realm "Hakkar" seems that none of them have ever found it either. Should I bother contacting a GM, or just consider it undoable.

can these things ONLY drop when ur friendly? cuz while i been down thee getting my Netherwing Crystals and stuff for Friendly rep to start Nether Drake quest i got about a million Sludge-Covered Object's and none of these things.....
so can these things only drop when ur friendly with Netherwing?

I'm revered and i was farming these today for this drop while getting netherwing crystals too. It just dropped for me. You do not have to be friendly to find this drop, anything higher is ok too seeing as i got it.

Yes, it's possible to get these plans at revered. Im revered, and wanted some fast rep, so I was searching for new quests to do. Obvouisly there was a drop from the sludge things inside the netherwing mine, and I decided to farm them =] Hopefully it would pop out of the "objects" which drops off the sludges after 100 - 200 kills as the drop rate is rather low. No way :) Took me 3 of those "objects" to drop, and it was in there :-) Good luck farming ;-)

This Quest IS repeatable, you get the full cash reward on subsiquent attempts

You cannot loot this item unless you have completed The Netherwing Mines.

Sludge-covered Objects that you looted before you completed this quest can contain this item, but you will not be able to see it until you have handed in The Netherwing Mines.

Tested this by copying a character to the PTR which had a bunch of Sludge-covered Objects but had not handed in the quest, or the preceeding quest Rise, Overseer! and then opening them after handing in the two quests. I also tested handing in Rise, Overseer! only and that wasn't enough to be able to loot the plans.

I farmed over 160 Netherwing Crystals from slimes before I got the item to drop. Kinda low drop rate or bad luck.
