dont know too much about it but it lasts for 40sec which is amazing. if this is useable in arenas, it is an extremely powerful trinket.
add in the 450life, it is just amazing
im most likely going to get exalted with skettis since i want a nether ray rather than a drake like everyone else, i am getting at least revered for this alone. purely amazing

This is but an excellent trinket for arenas, one thing to also note is that it does not share a cool down with the timbermaw trinket (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=21326). Good for causing the enemy a headache when you pop two pets on them!

- The little dragon lasts exactly 40 seconds.
- He attacks with "Arcane Bolt" which hits average for 520 arcane damage.
- Since he got only ~3.2k Mana he does 6 or 7 bolts. Anyway... melee for 150 (~300 crit)

- Cooldown is 10 minutes, so it should be usable every Arena (i don't play arena so i don't tested it.

The dragon never gets better but at Honored u can use the trinket outside of Shadowmoon Valley and at Revered it gains 45 stamina.

How useable is the summoned dragon when tanking instances? Does the threat generated by the dragons arcane bolts and melee strikes add to hte person that summons it or?

I don't know if it has been changed, but pre-Netherwing dailies you could summon to Netherwing Ledge. I know this for a fact because I was able to summon some non-70s on my warlock to help kill the ghost dragon for Gorefiend's Armor.

Still, the twink issue is moot, because you can't even begin to grind for this rep without a 300 flying skill.

I actually found the trinket to be quite useful as a tank - a green/blue-geared tank. The +45 stam is a nice lil' stat - it pushed me over the 10k mark without any epics.

Neat little guy, and he actually does a respectable amount of damage. Actually part of my tanking set at the moment.

Use this little guy on my rogue quite frequently, a great tool in PvE and has bailed me out in PvP on more than one occaision. Has a decent amount of health and can hold aggro a bit, which as a rogue can give you ample opportunity to backstab. Sometimes provides that little bit of extra damage you need if you're getting ganged up on or killed.

It can solo most level 70 mobs, one on one, and can easily decimate entire groups or camps of low-leveled enemies, if you so desire.

Does not attack incapacitated enemies (IE sap, sleep), but it'll attack anything else in range if it doesn't have an immediate target.

Now usable indoors as of 2.4! I slapped it on during the shade fight in kara last week for the extra stam, and hit the hotkey for that trinket slot by mistake and out pops my little friend. I was plesently suprised.

As was said above, this guy is invaluable for dagger rogues. Not only can he hold aggro so you can get off some Backstabs (as well as Vanish+Ambush), but he does some pretty good damage to boot. Great tool for soloing difficult mobs as a dagger rogue.

Also an awesome trinket in pvp. The 45 stam alone makes it a very viable choice as a permanent trinket.

Obviously everyone grinds Netherwing rep for the Drake, but you really shouldn't overlook this awesome trinket.

This is a reward from the netherwing quest line, at the end of course. This quest line requires 300 riding skill to advance beyond a certain point, and to advance beyond neutral standing with netherwing. That being said, this seems a pretty awesome trinket, for, say, a warrior, assuming the pet it summons does half decent damage and stamina. I was considering getting both the darkmoon: vengeance and the darkmoon: madness cards, but I think I may replace the madness card with this, -6 stamina, but add a combat pet? sounds good to me, extra good if you can actually control it. A few concerns though, how often can you summon your pet? How long till it despawns(most other summonable trinket pets have a time limit)? As previously stated, how much damage can it do/take? And on a completely superficial note, does the pet look cool? Assuming all the answers to these questions are positive, this would be a bloody awesome trinket. Just my two cents. That being said, does anyone have a pic?

The only thing bad about this trinket is the long cool down. 10 mins is a bit excessive but oh well. The Stamina is very nice for PVP. Definitely one of the better trinkets given for questing. Oh yea if you are a frost mage you can pop this and your water elemental at the same time for double pet damage. Works great for fighting elites or really pwning someone in PVP.

I hit exalted today, and I haven't seen any exalted badges. It would make sense to have an epic badge, but for now the Commander's badge is all that is offered.

If people would actually read the quests and stories related to them they would realize that getting another Dragonmaw badge at exalted wouldn't make any sense.
Also you get another Netherwing Ally at Exalted: a nice epic Netherwing Drake to fly on.
What more do you want?

For some reason, I still have the previous 2 badges, (Overseer's and Captain's). They are all on a shared cooldown, so is there -any- reason at all that anyone can think of to keep the previous 2 trinkets?

All of these badges might come in handy when you're chased by one of those pesky Dragonmaw Ascendants (if you don't have a minion or pet available).
Just pop your nether dragonwhelp and leg it =)

10 min aint much and the only engineering item I can think of is the rocket luncher with a looong cast times which does LESS dmg and you need to cast.. this dragon just nuke while you can do your other thingies

tried this out for the first time last night, it's pretty cool. it's helpful to me (rogue) when i'm trying to do the netherwing relic quest...the pet picks up the mobs flying past me faster than i...very useful for 60 seconds and the cooldown isn't that horrible.

Anyone have this? Do you have a damage meter as well? Maybe someone could post the results for us, how much damage does it do over the 60 seconds? What does it hit for?

And most importantly, is it set on Aggressive or Defensive? Does it tear off on it's own to any and all enemy's in sight, or does it atack when something attacks you?

I ran this test on the Arcanite Dragonling (engineering), and posted on that thread. It would be really great to know if this is worth grinding rep for. Esp. since im already grinding for a Skyguard Nether Ray.

"OK, So i finally found the plans on the AH for the Arcanite Dragonling (20G). I had spent about 5 days farming for the plans (about an hour or so a day) with no luck. So I was very happy to finally see it in the AH.

Anyway, I converted my old Mithril Dragon to the Arcanite, and I tested them both in Nagrand. I am a 64 Hunter, with 363 Eng. I had my pet hold agro on the mob, while the Dragon just pecked away. I set my pet to passive when the mob was getting close to death, so that the mob would last the full minute of the Dragon.

The test mobs were lvl 66 Clefthoof Bulls

Mithril Mech Dragonling:

Hit: 60
Crit: 121

Arcanite Mech Dragonling:

Hit: 77

So.. It isn't a huge improvement, but I have an alchemist alt who can make the Arcanite, and i'm a miner, so It wasn't really that expensive to make.

I tested it on a 61 Spore Bat for you.
Damage Done: 4525
Crit: 0 times so 0%
DPS: 128.8
Damage Per Spell (Arane Bolt): 500-578
Damage Per Hit (When he was out of mana): 174-203
He solo'd the Spore Bat tho.
He did 6 Arcane Bolts.

O and he is on agressive i think because when i called him with an alliance near me (we were both PvP but not in combat). He attacked him. Than when a paladin healed the ally, he went for the paladin so he has a threatmeter tho.

is it worth giving up my trinket that adds equip 48 AP and 185 AP on use? i am a BM2/3 MM1/3 hunter, stamina is nice tho and the helpof the dragonkin is also, but it lowers my DPS at all times,and no increased DPS when needed, i cant fiqure out what to use

So I saw that someone mentioned something about this only being usable outdoors; is this true? I mean if so its just strait STA in most instances (which I can't complain about), but I would love to be able to pop this on a boss while I tank half for the novelty factor.

Dragon pet lives upto 40 secs, can be easily killed (Mage aoe) - still a nice trinket and rarely seen in PvP. 3-4k extra damage in 30 secs can easily make the difference in a fight.

well not that i know of
the only thing i believe you get at exalted is
your netherdrake (onyx, azure, etc)
