Can anyone give accurate data on the proc rate? It says 100% rate on the spell page, but this is pretty unlikely... anyone have any useful numbers?

These are some fine fist weapons for my Fury warrior, to my luck I actually recived both on a Trash run for Hyjal Trash Loot. The Proc on the set is very often, and the proc animation is like the impact of a fireball. (Not an actual Fireball) April 1, 2008 Tanaris Server First with the set.

While raiding Hyjal, we had one of these drop, the 2 fury warriors start fighting over who should get it, 10 seconds later a second drops. How rare is that?

So I know everyone says sword spec is the only way to fly when it comes to raiding but to those people id like to say that yeah, sword spec is the best raiding spec out there, but when you have both of these babies, fist spec very good. I was sporting the Blade of Infamy (MH) and the season 2 quickblade (OH) and when i got the set of Fists of Molten Fury I changed fist spec only cuz they look so awesome and I found out that, as long as you have a Shammy with WF in your group, my damage output actually went up.
Im guessing its cuz even though the proc doesnt seem like that hard a hit, it procs CONSTANTLY, sometimes even chain procing to (my own record) 4 times in a row.
Also, with dual mongoose and my gear/spec's crit level, both my white damage and sinister strikes criting so much, Its comparable to losing the extra sword hit.
Right now there are 2 other sword spec rogues I raid with, one wearing the Blade of Infamy (MH) and Season 3 Vengeful offhand sword and the other with my old sword combo and I still top the charts.
I was thinking on getting the badge fist weapons since they are so powerful until I got my hands on the Illidan swords, but they look so crappy compared to these that I guess I can stick with these babies for a while, until I get bored or the Blade of Savagery finally drops so I can maximize the potential of my Blade of Infamy.

Got my MH last night completing the set...looks awesome. Respec to fist; switching from the Talon and Merciless Quickblade.

Will be interesting to see how much the proc gives in terms of pure dps.

First on Steamwheedle Cartel EU to have both.

Put Executioner on MH, mongoose of OH....looking forward to raid tonight ;-)

Must be the best looking weaponset in the game!

This weapon better than it seems. The 33% damage variance is usually only for 2hers (46% being normal for 1h weapons). This makes the weapon a lot smoother damage wise. While high top end is great for windfury and stormstrike, its as much a victim to luck as anything else in this game. Tighter variance will see a big impact in potential dps on shorter fights, which is why this weapon can parse a good deal higher than similar 100 dps weapons for fury warriors and shamans especially.

I went to the PTR to look up if the weapon was going to be a one-hander and i did not get any data back on it for some reason it is stuck at : Retrieving Item Information.

The proc rate is right at 5%. I used proc watch with auto swings on halaa guards to find out proc rate. I then tested this on special attacks, of which also cause the proc at 5% . That means they are happily buffed by haste *giving you more ppm* !No Internal CD!

Running about 1300 dps shows that I do about ~.9% of my total dmg from the proc of these fists--Recount*dmg review

To compare, the Shattered Sun Pendant of Might *scryer*, had a slightly higher overall dmg of ~1% of my total dmg done on 1300 dps.

All dmg from the Molten Fist proc is buffed from Curse of Elements. The Proc DOES NOT crit--unlike the pendant of might above noted. The proc CAN be resisted--though why/how is unclear.

My DPS did increase over my Talon of Azshara, Merciless Gladiator's Quickblade, for two reason: The DPS increase as well as the % proc. Though the total dmg increase was only at about +1% on 10 min *halaa guards again* In both cases I was hit capped/expertise capped.

Though they aren't the BEST weapons in the game, they do look very nice. I would suggest that these are above the dps of the badge weapons, although I have yet to test the badge pair.

I got this fist last night from mount hyjal trash right before rage winterchill. One thing about it that nobody has said is that it has a fiery glow to it. HOWEVER! I put a potency enchant on it and now it has the fiery glow on the outside, and inside teh palm area of the fist it has a green ball. Pretty cool.

How often does the set bonus proc?
Im getting bored of sword spec (currently use Blade of Infamy in main hand and Arena Season 2 in offhand) so im thinking about moving to fist spec just cuz these two claws look bad ass andi already have the offhand. But they have no hit or crit, so it would all come down to how cool the proc LOOKS and how often it procs

Dropped tonight in MH after 2.4 went live. Absolutely awesome appearance, you can even see molten lava dripping off it if you look carefully. I'm pleased with this find, it's slow speed so it should proc Windfury just as hard as what Vanirs Right Hand would do! Plus it doesn't have the clownish appearance of the Vanir's (going by what I've seen of the models posted online of them).

I have both of these fists on my fury warrior with Executioner on MH and mongoose on the OH, I get like 50 msgs aday asking where i got them ^_^ and also SERVER 1st!

Just got this last week. Woo-hoo! Funny things is that the other main rogue in the guild got the offhand when he was in a raid that I wasn't, and I got the mainhand in the raid that he wasn't. At least we won't be fighting over the drops next raid! I'm hoping that the offhand does drop, though, as even though it lacks the haste and hit and all off the Vanir Fist that's purchasable with badges, the fire proc is pretty spiffy, and the damage and other stats are downright sexy. That, and I've got Mongoose on it already, so the offhand also with Mongoose should do very, VERY bad things to mobs...

Had both of these drop in the same night and run on March 25th 2008 first day of patch 2.4. My guild on Magtheridon(US) had a fury warrior win them both. They look insane and the proc rate is about 20-25%.

One quick question for the people that have these, do they have a moving animation I already think they got like a dripping effect like "Fang of Vashj" but I was wondering if they move like say "Talon/Claw of the Phoenix" ? Anyone know I aim to get these babies on my Rogue :P

Just to let you know, not all hunters are like that. So don't be calling us "!@#$%^&s". A lot of people treat us like we're crap. . . Once in an instance, I was yelled at by the leader for needing on mail and I was the only mail - user in the group, so just a heads up, don't treat us like dogs.

Can anyone confirm a proc rate on the set?

I'd like to get these for PvP actually and I like the agi/stam and the proc. As a rogue, having some added damage that ignores armor would be nice.

I figured that because I can't make the rating for the S3 weapons (1780 lifetime highest rating ftl), and I wouldn't want to spend the points if I could avoid it, these might be a good upgrade over the S2 weapons.

This is coming from the perspective of a rogue btw.

Any input?

Just to add to the Shaman's uses for this weapon. The main hand is "A-ok", just stay away from the OH. Because of the mechanics associated with Windfury, the Offhand breaks the "3-second" rule associated with Windfury. If you equip both, you'll be cheating yourself out of numerous WF procs and also cheating yourself from maximizing your dps.

Any hunter that would roll on these with any fury warrior, enhance shammy, rogue in grp deserves a royal kick in the proverbial. You are a RANGED CLASS. Give it to more deserving people.
