While the parry rating is an interesting addition, there would still be no reason to use this in place of a steel weapon chain, would there? From this can we assume that the steel weapon chain will soon be nerfed/removed?

15 Parry Rating adds about .6% to parry at level 70.

In the next patch I heard they are changing weapon mastery from 50%/100% immune to disarm and making it 25%/50% reduce the duration you are disarmed. So does anyone know if you have 2 pnts in Wpn Mastery (%50 duration reduced) and this Wpn chain (%50 duration reduced) will that make you immune to disarm?

The cheap mat cost on this combined with the constant mitigation from the parry rating would seem to make it a viable alternative to Mongoose for tanking. Has anyone determined the difference?

Like all TBC item enhancements, this can only be applied to an item with an ilvl of 60 or higher. Which means quest items of an ilvl of 60, or BoEs with a level requirement of ≥60 (unsure of this, but all my tests of enchants on anything lvl 34 req but ilvl of ≥35 have failed). So to anyone looking to make a 19 twink rogue with insane amounts of parry, sorry, no dice for you.

The first weapon you can apply this to is the Ice Barbed Spear. At the level you can get this weapon, 51, the chain grants 1.21% parry.

Bought the plans for 89 g from guildmate, he got it off trash mob in Netherstorm. Demand doesn't seem great yet. Sold one for 69 g on AH, and 4 others at mats +8 g. Raising price to mats +20 g and we'll see what happens.
