One of the new heroic badge rewards for 2.3. These are comparable to Edgewalker Longboots. You get -7 stamina but gain 9 hit rating and 16 AP. I would say it comes out as the better pick. You also get a blue socket instead of a yellow one, if that is good or bad I don't know. Depends on your choice of socketing I guess.

Is the dps difference between Nyn'jah's Tabi Boots and the new Footwraps of Wild Encroachment significant? If I have 144 hit rating already then Footwraps of Wild Encroachment could be a better choice for me right?

These boots are the best you can get pre-Black Temple (as a rogue, anyway).

DPS wise best Rogue boots in game atm, they only lose in stamina thats why ilevel is so low. They are a tad better than Shadowmaster's.

whatever happened to the model from nightslayer boots? i know the felboar hide boots had it (in an ugly brown shade) but ns were my favorite pair of boots in terms of aesthetics. they should use that model more often and on boots i will actually keep wearing :(

with +8 agi and +4 crit rate, 6 stam gems (VS. 8 hit rate, 8 agi in edgewalker) you come out with +1 hit rate, +0.18 crit, +16 AP, -1 stam

Actually, Tabi is a kind of traditional japanese socks used by ninjas, but stabby boots sounds funny, great idea xP

These are actually considered superior to skullshatter and warboots of obliteration according to maxdps.com for a warrior.

I put dual 8 str with a 12 agi enchant on mine. According to maxdps.com(take spreadsheets with a grain of salt sometimes, dont live by them is all I have to say) these are better than my obliteration, i lose about .60% crit and gain 1.40% hit and about 6-8 ap. Pretty decent upgrade I'd say.

Picked them up when released on my rogue, and closer to WotlK it's looking unlikely that they'll be replaced with anything. Enchanted with +12 Agility, Gemmed with +8 Hit and +20 AP
(Combat Swords Rogue)

Although the +3 Hit Set Bonus would be nice, on the whole I prefer to avoid using blue gems and taking a +8 Hit Gem in overall provides more hit, albeit with a miniscule drop in crit. Any rogues not heading to BT+ any time soon need to pick these up.

the thing is that with theese u get 2 extra sockets, so u can socket it with say... 2x (10 ap 6 sta) which will be enough to make your meta socket work, and that leaves possibillity socketing all other sockets any way u like.

These things are amazing. What's weird is I haven't heard the rogues or druids on my server commenting about these at all. My fury warrior set goes between Fel Leather Boots and shiny new Vindicator's Plate Greaves depending on the situation. Nyn'jah's are good enough to replace both.

IMO these are the best Rogues boots in the game before Mount Hyjal;

With the Brutal Tanzanite and just a Glinting Noble Topaz the stats look like this;
+33 Agility
+27 Stam
+21 Hit
+70 AP

...compared to Edgewalkers with the Brutal Tanz and a +8hit yellow gem the Tabi Boots have;
-7 Stam
+4 Agility
+6 Hit
+16 AP

The +6 hit alone makes it a no brainer, the extra Agility and AP is just icing on the cake.

Although the comment above said he wouldn't socket with anything else but 2 Glinting Pyrestones hasn't looked at the bonus. The bonus is +3hit. So your Glinting Pyrestone kind of becomes a +2hit +5Agil gem. Or would you rather have a Shifting Tanzanite (SteamVaults rare gem drop) which essentially gives you +5 Strength +4Agil (9AP total) and +3hit(socket bonus). Shifting Tanzanite is the best pure DPS blue socket gem for melee. Brutal Tanzanite is nice too but not as good. But all in all the 2nd best pure DPS boots in the game for rogues. I actually just replaced my Boots of Utter Darkness for these. With Kara dropping badges now these boots are high payoff for not a lot of work.

As of Feb, 2022 these boots are nowhere to be found in TBCC. Phase 3 is out and G'Eras is not selling them
