Drops from trash in Zul'Aman, when you use them on Forest Frogs inside the instance they will transform back into their humanoid form. The frogs can be found very early in around a lake where there is a bridge and an altar of some sort.

Some of them will leave Money, others will leave Amani Charms (They are like tomes in Karazhan), and some times a vendor will appear, in the case i've had so far a Food Vendor spawned.

He sold some limited quantity Spicy Crawdad and Blackened Trouts, as well as a Sealed Scroll Case https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=33926

This item contained Formula: Enchant Cloak - Major Resistance. I'm guessing it will contain other highlevel recipes.

The NPC's rescued will eventually return to the start of the instance where they're cheering for you.

In the event of a gold reward:
A small bag spawns on the ground. The player who clicks the bag is the only one who receives money. I received 13 gold.

Inaccurate. The gold in the money bags is looted just like any other cash drop. When looting a money bag myself I got "Your share of the loot is ...", and when another raid member looted another bag I got the same message.

In the end it seems to make no difference who uses the hex stick or who opens the containers, so it might be a good idea to simply have one person grab all the sticks that drop. That way there'll be less risk of any sticks getting lost in random people's inventories, making you lose out on a chance on gold or items.

hrm yeah i got mojo from one of these guys on the second try, on the first however i got a 10 stam buff scroll from that blue sealed case. i was like ?????? so it can contain rubbish.

How can it be that just when patch 2.3 was opened and i was in Bg with my 19 twink then i saw this troll guy wich had Mojo as his pet! how can that be if you need to go inside ZA to recive it... and yes im sure it was Mojo cuz when i kissed it i turned into a frog too...

Use these on any of the frogs in Zul'Aman and it will transform them into an NPC. The NPC type is random, but the first one we removed the hex from turned into a vendor (Gunter) that sold limited amounts of Blackened Basilisk and Spicy Crawdad. He also sold a scroll case for 10s (spawned 3 different times) that gave an epic LW pattern, Plans: Helm of the Stalwart Defender, and Schematic: Power Amplification Goggles. These Hex Sticks will despawn from your inventory if you leave the instance (similar to the Karazhan books), so use them as soon as you can.

I used one on a Forest Frog, and it turned into a blood elf who created a small box on the ground. It contained a charm that gives a proc to reduce spell threat. The item was bound to the instance in the same ways as Karazhan books are. Shame, since it was the end of the run - use these before you have finished in the instance!

I heard that if you use this to come out of a hex, 1 out of 50 times you could get Mojo, a little pet frog who if you kiss you get turned into a frog and Mojo whispers you with little love notes. How cute!

Don't leave the instance before using them, otherwise they disappear from your inventory.

Would be nice to have seen that in the tool tip, but whatever.

Can confirm for Classic TBC do not leave the instance with this item it will despawn. I am saddened with all the hexsticks I lost from last nights run.
