This was changed from giving 20 stamina and spirit to 8 to all resistances in patch 2.4.

Pretty handy for Mother Sharaz, and I dare say that's the reason this fish was introduced. Most guilds don't craft the shadow resist legs as they're quite expensive in terms of Hearts of Darkness (3, as opposed to the bracers, belt, boots and cape which all cost 1 each), and resort to each member filling in the gaps - usually with the cloak enchant, an SR armor kit or two, and an old piece of gear here or there, often with a Lower City SR head enchant, Violet Eye shoulder resist glyph, or a void sphere (or 3 ^^).

This here recipe alleviates the need for 8 of that SR, and thus lightens the restriction on the gear and enchants a particular player can go with for this fight. ^^

The recipe for this is only aquired though the daily cooking quest. The recipe itself is BoP, so dont bother looking in the AH for it! :-)

Broiled Bloodfin now increases resistances to all schools of magic instead of increasing Stamina and Spirit.

When you get this recipe the fish is under a meat category in the cooking menu. But i have tested this and hunters pets who only eat meat will not eat this. it is still considered a fish.
