This could have been 10 mp5 or 25 spell haste rating, or increase any of the already present stats by a lesser degree. Maybe this is for the paladins that don't mind wearing cloth, I doubt they are happy with the Spirit then though.

Priests may find the spell crit useful for Brutallus, the next boss. He hits hard, and inspiration makes him hit slightly less hard.

Crit may be good for certain fights but I have to agree with Nogun, These pants are cloth and it is safe to assume that they were made for a priest. Why the spell crit? Does Blizz have some issue with gear that has a significant amount of mp5 and spirit?

Guys, to be honest I think these pants were just made for the purpose of being traded for the dps version. The dps version of these pants are the best in game.

With the following gem choices:
Red: Purified Shadowsong Amethyst
Yellow: Quick Lionseye
Blue: Sparkling Empyrean Sapphire

Brings these to a whopping 61 spirit (with socket bonus). The 31 additional spirit over the Leggings of Eternity socketed with 3xSparkling Empyrean Sapphire make the two leggings to be comparable regen-wise.

That being said, the increase in +healing, +crit rating, spell haste (from Quick Lionseye) make these a decent upgrade.

Unfortunately 222-196 is nowhere near 88 healing O.o it's more like.. 26. So yes, it means you gain some marginal stats like spell haste and crit rating, a bit of healing and a bit of spirit but the upgrade is nowhere near "immense".
