If you mean that the Timeless Arrows being 53 DPS and this bow being 97.3 DPS exceeds Thori'dal's 148.7 DPS, that is true. However, Thori'dal also has crit if slightly less armor pen, and more importantly, its DPS being innate and not ammo dependent will boost Steady Shot significantly. Thori'dal is definitely better than this weapon.

The only problem with Thori'dal for BM spec is its weapon speed. At 3.0 it seems more suited for MM or Survival. Will the high weapon damage apply to Arcane shot as it does to Steady shot? If so it would further push it towards MM, Surv, or hybrid of the two.

This bow is so incredibly sexy, and to think there is still a nice legendary trophy deeper in these instances, just can't get over the weapon skin =]

Highest DPS bow in the game as of 2.4.2 (That is with arrows)
Just to let you know the legendary bow does not meen it has the highest dps (It might adding the stats, I'm to lazy to calculate that)

Edit: I guess it's not since the legendary bow got a upgrade.

It "overvalues" hit rating because hit rating is the most important stat to cap out, or at least get to 127 (assuming your guild has spare draenei).

Anyway. The badge crossbow is better for BM hunters, at least, because the speed is so much easier to get to the perfect speed required for a good shot rotation. For MM, you're right, the BBotB or BBS is probably better. As a BM hunter, though, I plan on getting the badge bow and being very, very happy with it.

prior to the release of the sunwell, many rumors were made and pictures being released by people that show the picture of this bow. Since people have heard of a new legendary bow that will be included as a drop in the sunwell, many saw the picture and concluded that the bow was the new legendary bow. And soon, people started spreading more rumors that this bow was going to be the legendary bow base on the picture being shown without any stat description what so ever; some even posted the legendary bow's stat upon the picture of this bow.

Well, the rumors were wrong and totally false. This bow is not the legendary bow, but it did drop in Sunwell Plateau however. The legendary bow is Thori'dal, the Stars' Fury

Hunters should have first go with bows, guns and crossbows. With a speed of 3.00 its more useful to a MM hunter then a BM hunter.

Rogues/fury warriors could use it just for the stats if there are no hunters in the group that need it.

Not that it has much to do with this bow, but the legendary one, Thori'dal, has been nerfed. From the original leech pictures, to the 2.4 game data files.

if no hunters (doubt it) givit to a roge or warr, i have np
or if all the hunters have this (also doubt it) givit to em...
however if a roge or warr wants thoridal, and there are hunters, thats like saying a mage wants gorehowl. well, here is the 3 ONLY situations id give up thori...

1. All hunters have it.

Melee classes shouldn't try to compete with hunters at ranged combat; If you're a Warrior or Rogue, please ask and make sure the hunters in the group do not need it before rolling on a high level ranged weapon. A weapon having the combination of +Agility/+AP on it, and especially if it also has intellect or mp5, is typically intended for a hunter.

I think thats preatty clear, huh?

well i dont really care if there are rogues or warriors in my group if it comes up it would go to the hunter that would be akin to a hunter taking some legiondary plate that he/she just cant use guys and girls please think about what u are saying this is hands downs the best all around bow for an end game hunter that u can actually keep for the next upgrade which is what there are putting these types of weapons in for anyway

Got it. Love it. The armor penetration really helps get you to the 1500 Armor pen cap. Though I'm really looking forward to the 162.8 dps legendary... /drool.

Of course this and Thori'Dal are hunter weapons... Anybody who says that the two best ranged weps (Keyword: Ranged) in the game aren't for hunters have got to be #$%^&*ed...

Okay to clear this up if it hasn't already been clarified( I was too lazy to read all of the posts)Thoridal's dps isn't WTFCRAZY. It's true it has the highest bow dps in the game but because you use it's arrows that it creates and those arrows add no additional dps it's a bit more equal, not totally equal but a little bit more. It wouldn't make very much sense to take a 150+ bow and give it the timeless arrow adding an extra 50+ dps coming to 200+ dps that would be too rediculous. So take this bow, it has 97 dps you add the Timeless Arrow which adds like 55 dps so this bow all together with the Timelss arrow would have like 162 dps making it's dps not quite as good as Thoridal's but a bit closer. Now where Thoridal kills is it's Equips and it's crazy-high top-end.
