Drops from Priestess Delrissa in heroic Magisters' Terrace (the new 5-man instance being added in 2.4).

This looks like an excellent tank trinket. 57 stam would pretty much be worthy of a trinket slot on it's own and the proc is also very nice. The only problem I can see with the proc is that if a spell takes you below 35% while you're still being hit in melee you might not get the extra dodge when it though it would still be useful.

This trinket adds a little over 20% dodge upon dropping below 35% health. This, combined with the incredible amounts of stamina, make it an obvious choice for anyone tanking bosses that hit extremely hard, such as Prince, Halazzi, and Tidewalker.

In addition to this, it could make an interesting PvP trinket. Of course, by using it you're taking the chance that you might not face melee attacks, or may be up against a warrior using Overpower, but as a shadow priest who's regularly the main target of any attacks, this could make for an interesting choice in terms of an "arena tank" trinket. After any tanks get it, of course.

This trinket is going to be sought after like a child after candy.

PvP'ers are going to love this. Melee matches between rogue/warrior? Warrior gets low = 20% dodge vs. the rogue or vice versa as well as dodging finishing moves. Same the other way around. Rogues speccing Cheat Death will also love this trinket. Thats even only talking the proc and not the 57 stamina.

For PvE'ers, as a Feral Druid, this will replace my usual combo of Moroes + Badge of Tenacity. I will most likely replace Moroes, though i will keep it in the bags for swapping when Badge is on cooldown. The Stamina alone is incrediable, but the low cooldown on the proc really makes this trinket amazing.

Prepare to fight for this trinket. Many people will want it. I will personally run the Heroic EVERY day until i get this baby.

This item is extremely powerful as a Paladin tank, with Ardent Defender reducing incoming damage by 30% when below 35% health. This talent in addition to this trinket might save you the necessary few seconds needed for those crucial heals to land. In addition to that, it has a lot of stamina, which makes the Gnomish Poultrylizer and the Goblin Rocket Launcher useless (Except for using the launcher for pulling purposes).

This isn't a paladin trinket, this isn't a warrior trinket, this isn't a druid trinket.

It's a tank trinket.

It benefits all tanks equally since dodge is pretty much the only type of avoidance that reduces dmg taken by 100%. (chance to be missed caps, blocking still causes you to take a decent amount of damage, and while parrying is good, it makes you hit the boss more often... raising threat but you're getting extra attacks, that he may parry, so he gets extra attacks, which could pwn your face)

It would be useful in pvp (I know some priests who would kill for 20% dodge when a rogue is beating them down below 35%) but it's still more useful for tanks, and when you're running a PvE instance, priority should go to someone who will use that gear... for pve. It'd be the same as a tank needing on cataclysm's edge because he wants to use it for pvp, and the ret pally (who needs it for pve) doesn't get it.

Just wondering, I haven't been on the test realm; does it proc like ardent defender?

meaning if you're at 50% health and you get hit for 20% of your health (putting you at 30% health) it would proc and for the next melee attack you'd have the buff?

or would you get hit, be at 30% and have no increased dodge and then it procs on the next hit?

It seems from the description it would do the first way, but a lot of people are describing it as the latter.

Was nerfed in the latest PTR build. Went from 380 dodge rating (20.08% chance to dodge) to 152 dodge rating (8.03% chance to dodge). Still a very powerful trinket since it has more stamina than any other trinket in the game. (source)

If by some chance you can get procmania and have the following happen simultaneously
This procs for 152 dodge
Shattered Sun Pendent of Resolve (Aldor) procs for 100 dodge
Idol of terror procs for 65 agi
Badge of Tenacity procs for 150 agi
that would equal 28% dodge.

Badge of Tenacity and this make for the best Feral Druid tank trinket combo in the game. When you're close to the Armor cap, you can switch out one or the other (for me, the Badge) for Shadowmoon Insignia and re-slot/gem/enchant/etc. a few of your +Defense trinkets in favor of more Agility and Stamina.

Great trinket. Absolutely fantastic.

But this is a tank trinket, and it's pretty much useless in PvE for any non-tank, so if you think you're getting this before your tank-- think again. Unless he or she already has it, or is mentally challenged and doesn't want it, in which case go ahead and PvP with it so Warriors can Overpower you into next week.

Just Looted this trinket on my warrior.

By far one of the best tanking trinkets in my arsenal. of course the stam is great but when "Evasive Maneuvers" procs along side mongoose and with the use of my pocketwatch i can achieve a staggering 55% dodge rating.

Its pretty neat to, the buff icon is identical to that of the Sub-Rogue "cheat death"

I just picked this up 2 nights ago on my Feral druid tank. Absolutely incredible trinket that hopefully won't get nerfed.

152 dodge rating = ~8% dodge

Proc: From my experience the proc is guaranteed once you are at 35% or below. You get a 10-second long buff that gives you the dodge rating & it won't proc again for 20 seconds after it wears off. It DOES share its cooldown with the Moroes pocket watch trinket, but you can pop that while you wait for its cooldown. I tanked Prince last night and this thing is incredibly useful for this fight in phase 2.

Now if only it would drop for my warrior :(

One function that this trinket has that I had not considered was in hard hitting fights where your health is often knocked below 35% it will proc and then the next heal or two u are back to full but still have the added 8% dodge. I noticed this proced 4 times durring my first fight with the ZA Bear boss after having the trinket drop for me. This made it very nice b/c about 1/4 the fight i had the additional dodge sitting me over 32% dodge.

The +57 stamina is nice for anyone who needs a bit of a HP increase in fights like these, or in casual pvp (I'm a holy priest). It was nice to get this today to upgrade my https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=32864 since no one wanted it (the tank already had it).

This is a good trinket for arena IMO.

Although I wouldn't roll on this over a tank, I'd definitely like to use it in arena on my priest.

For pvp, this would probably work with a rogue best because of Cheat Death.

However, if your tank doesn't have it yet, let him get it.

Tanks should make this a goal at some point to get. The machines tanking heroic Magisters will probably find this a small amount of health lol. Good on rogues who like stamina and dodge stacking, especially since its similar to cheat death. This compliments the darkmoon cards people often use for tanking, madness and vengeance if not mistaken. Great money value alternative if you want stamina from trinkets to sum it up.

This just dropped for me on my second heroic MT. For a pally tank this is gonna rock The above mitigation is a little off. As a pally tank I currently have almost 16k HP un-buffed and 75% mitigation without my holy shield up but the best part about this trinket for a pally tank is Ardent Defender. Ardent Defender kicks in around that time to reduce damage now I get about 8% more dodge too!

If you are serious at all about raid tanking as a war you need to pick this up. It's hands down the best trinket you can wear for any boss that can't crush and for those that can if you don't have Shadowmoon Insignia. Having tanked Kalecgos and Brutallus, I can safely say this trinket would always be on cooldown simply because the damage is so intense you will go below 35% at least once literally every 15-20 seconds. This is the end all trinket for end game bosses, second only to the Insignia. Get it and don't look back.

Get 15500 unbuffed HP, find a prest for ur party. Below %35 hp, Ardent Defender gives us %30 all damage reduction and this trinket gives a high dodge chance. Together they makes tankadin a God, almost impossible to kill in melee combat.

Oh my god wait! This trinket gives also +57 stamina which is highest stamina value of the game!

I think blizz will nerf this trinket and should do

This trinket gives me an additional 890 hp as a bear tank. The equip ability is good for any tanking class no matter who you are. For a bear tank its a great trinket to give emergency help to a class already devoid of good "oh ^&*!" abilities. I couple this with either badge of tenacity, or moroes' lucky pocket watch.

BTW I did the math for bear tank +stamina as:

1.25(dire bear form) * 1.2(HotW) * 1.03 (SotF)= 154.5% stamina

57(trinket) * 1.545 (stam increase) = 88.065 stamina

BTW it works out to be 661.2 hp gain for prot pally... say good bye to the figurine of the colossus and hello to stam stacking... hold onto figurine incase you need to up the avoidence for any reason. Figure from Shat halls heroic if im not mistaking.

The funny part, I successfully tanked this instance twice on heroic as a decent but not perfect geared prot paly.

Here is the group setup I prefer.

Prot Paly (me)
Druid or Priest healer with 1.8k healing
Ele shammy (Totem to increase my aggro and overall dmgs)
Mage
Mage or Lock

I have 11870 health unbuffed.
I use 30 smat food, and the 20 stam scrolls(when druid is the healer)Kings, and lock pet when 1 is in the group.

Those are usually my buddies, and we are on vent. Runs are not too long, and everything go smooth usually.

This can be done. just make sure your mitigation is decent, and the group coordination is good.

I'll attempt my 3rd try later, and hope for the trinket or the Cudgel to drop :P

You do not need 3 cc for this run. I have completed this in heroic and non-heroic too many times to count and I have done many of them with 1 cc. If you plan to pug it I would reccomend as much cc as possible but it is not necessary just helpful. I got this trinket recently and it is hot!
