Edit: I just received another one from the Shrimpin' Aint Easy fishing daily quest. It's likely available through any of them.

I thought that this was completely useless when I got it, but it vendors for a whopping 11 gold. That's an extra daily reward right there.

Picked this up via the daily fishing quest (was in the fishing bag you get as a reward).

Wondered whether this item does anything/is useful in any way - other than being worth 11g to a vendor, i mean?

I got this today from the fishing quest. It's not ornate at all. It's really plain, so all you RP nuts beware, it's not as great as it sounds. On the bright side it vends very well:)
