Lord Ahune spawns a chest when he dies, and that chest has a quest item in it as well as a loot item which may be this item or anything else on his listed loot table.

Although these cloaks CANNOT be disenchanted (just like the rings from Headless Horseman), they CAN be vendored for 3g 26s.

They have the exact same stats as the Blood Knight War Cloak. The advantage is you can get it easily from a short boss fight and not spend badges or sell it for cash. Also, if you want it to match your gear go for it.

Ok..

I have just finished two runs of the frost lord now and it seems this is a pretty weird drop.

The first time my group and i have killed him he dropped the 30stam + def cloak.

And the second time he dropped the staff.. but at the same time he also dropped this cloak. So it appears the staff is a seperate drop or he has the potential to drop two items at once.

As mentioned this cloak is the same as the badge cloak which makes it very good as it is a very short fight (5 - 10 mins at max) and can save you alot of heroic runs.

I would seriously reccommened anyone out there who is going to start raiding get this cloak and possibly upgrade it with the one that drops from Prince M in kara.

I've run Ahune over a dozen times so far, not once has this cloak dropped. Most common drop was the caster cloak, then the tanking cloak. I've even seen the scythe drop. But still waiting on this cloak.

This is my current cloak. And i must say, it is quite a beauty. Matches the tabard of the summer sky I got from him.

This cloak drops in both Normal and Heroic mode.

Drops from Ahune (summonable boss in Slave Pens) during the Midsummer Festival. This cloak also drops in normal mode, not only heroic.
