I would rather take +Agility or +Str (Depending on Class) and a heal potion than pay 10+g for this and wait an hour to do it again.

With a 1 hour cooldown to restore about ~20-30% of your health (at level 32--less at higher levels), and very mediocre stats for a leather item (spirit, eww), I'd rather have a green belt with good stats. Spend the gold you save on a stack of healing potions instead.

Rikqiz, the leather working supplier in Booty Bay has this recipe. I took the boat to booty bay every day for the past 2 weeks once a day and checked him. Each time, he did not have it. Then yesterday, he DID. I want to say it was like 30s or 50s, I don't remember, I was too excited. If you go into booty bay, go up to the top row and look for a leather working building, the vendor is in that building. The recipe spawns rare (once every day or two) at a random time during the day and once someone buys it that day it is gone until it spawns again. So you need to just keep trying and one of these time, he will have it.

Also the ingredients on thotbott keep changing, it actually takes, cured heavy hides, spiders silk, irridecent pearls, jade, citrine, and fine thread. Quite the assortment of junk to find and quite an accomplishment to make. My friend got one of the belts at the Auction house for a couple gold, so they sell well. But my first one is for me! :)

The pattern for this belt IS sold by Rizqik (or Rikquiz or something like that). He is the leatherworking supply dude in Booty bay in the leatherworking shop on the upper level. It took me 2 weeks of checking him every day before he had it. It is a rare pattern so once someone buys it (I think it was either 30s or 50s) then it doesn't spawn on him again for a few days.

Someone asked if it could be used in battle. Yes, you can use the heal in battle. It works just like a healing potion but it is on a separate timer. You just equip the belt and add the belt to one of your hotkey bars (thank goodness for cosmos). The timer on it is 60 minutes which kinna sucks but it's an instant heal so it is perfect for emergencies or for that extra edge in PvP, especially if your potions timer is still recharging. You can use it while running or fighting and it doesn't interrupt anything. You have to be level 32 to use it and 185 skill to make it.

The belt itself is kind of a pain to make because of all the ingredients. It actually takes cured heavy hides, fine thread, citrine, irridecent pearls, jade, and spiders silk. Once you make one for yourself, keep saving up those supplies because they sell well in the auction house for a couple of gold.

So here is my question, where is a good place to farm the irridecent pearls? I have water breathing which I can breath underwater for ten minutes but I have not found a good place that has lots of the clams. I usually get mine from other players. Where is a good place?

For those of you planning to sell this item. Since it disenchants into a Large Glowing Shard, this is sold to enchanters for more than 3 gold.

Just a note, several folks here have stated it requires Spider's silk to make this item.. that is NOT true.
4x Cured Heavy Hide
2x Jade
2x Iridescent Pearl
1x Citrine
and 2x Silken Thread (I do believe).
no spiders silk...

Every is talking about Rikqiz or something but the leatherworking supplier in BootyBay is called Blixrez Goodstitch.

I watched like 2 minutes ago but he hasnt got it at the moment. I just try sometimes again.

He also sells some Murloc based bracers and chest armor, those respawn very quickly!

Ok guys heres the deal on this belt... there are TWO leatherworking suppliers in booty bay. The guy that sells this belt (for 30s) is in the shop on the top level to the far left (if your facing booty bay). The guy that sells it is named Rikqiz... or something like that. He is the only vendor in that shop (and it might not have a name to it). Just search all of the shops on the top level if you cant find him. But its not the shop with two leatherworking suppliers and another guy. Rikqiz is by himself and I found the belt on my first visit to him. Good luck!

Sounds good for the healing ability but its not worth it if your thinking about buying, the cooldown time is an hour, definitly a disappointment

For those of you having trouble getting the recipe because of farmers, take advantage of server restarts and patches. When you see the 10-15 minute timer, head over to the merchant and camp by him. Last night when I checked, it wasn't there, but a few minutes after the patch went live today, I jumped on and there it was. =]

Citrine u can sell 0.50-0.80g
iri pearl 1g
jade 0.50g

since u need 1 citrine, 2 pearls, 2 jades; that's losing the chance to sell gems and make 3g. i didn't include the heavy hides and other misc cost.

i see people selling the belt for 3-4g and no one is bidding. there are 5-6 on AH so the chance of me selling it is kinda of low.

I'm still thinking since i already learned it if I should make one for skill lvl, and use for healing. I'm a hunter so it's sort of pointless other than the different cooldown vs. potions.

I was stupid enough to buy the recipe from AH for 2g :S But so far I have made about 4 of these and each time it has sold for 6g 95s :) But maybe I'm just lucky?

Got the pattern on the first time I looked and bought the mats dirt cheap off AH. Total cost for my new shiny belt: ~1g50s

Now all i need to do is grind a level so i can use it...

I made this belt for myself because i thought it would be useful. +Agi could be made up in other areas, and when u dont have vanish or sprint u need an extra alternative. So I use it.

I'd also recommend this for druids and hunters although hunters more becuz druids can heal.

This belt comes in extra handy for those long-drawn 1v1 fights where you are evenly matched and it comes down to the very last health points, the small healing ability of this belt has saved me many times.

Rikqiz is at 28,76 in Booty Bay...

I stood for ages in the wrong shop and kept going back at different times of the day then i chanced upon him in another shop by accident!

God I felt a fool :-)

he's on the top level and there's a chap called Dizzy One-Eye stood nearby outside. (If you come in the tunnel from STV just follow the upper level around towards the inn and it's the third shop you get to.

I'm a leatherworker and found the recipe for this belt in AH. The 1G was worth it. Made myself one and sold some to others for some coin.

when i first got there, i got the gloves recipe, which is one of the things i wanted. so i waited for the belt recipe...nothing. waited about 2 hours, nobody came into the shop, still no belt. logged out and back in and ran to him, DING DING! got it. took boat to rachet and back and DING DING another one! i went and checked mail, and checked bank for mats, and on the way toward the FP to go back to SW i swung by again, DING DING! so i guess its random respawn time, but only that one was there each time, not the gloves except for the first time.

I bought my pattern at the auction house for just over 1 gold. I fought Murlocs just outside of southshore and they droped all the requirments to make (except leather). Plus you can save up the thick murloc scales for Murloc armor(the scales are a rare drop and you need 12) . This belt has save my butt a bunch of times now, and is a great item to sell in the AH.

On my server the regeants for this belt cost well over 5g, just for the pearls, jade and citrine.

Of course I use potions as much as possible when fighting PvP, but this gives you one extra heal in a tough fight that can make the difference. After hundreds of personal kills, I can't count the number of times when it was me or him walking away one hit short of losing--and this can be that one hit you need. Even in battle grounds, once an hour is plenty often to get that one hit advantage to stay alive.

i read the "how to make money with leatherworking" guide and the writer said that the belt should pay 10-20 g in AH.. it doesn't... I lost alot of money on that guide=/ be glad if you get 4g for it

The best thing about this belt is the actual pattern. At 30s from Rizkit (sp?) in Booty Bay, even with it being a rare item to find on him, it is worth it's price. I have been lucky enough to be able to score 4 of these patterns (not at the same time, but within the same week) and I kept one for myself (leatherworking) and send the rest to the AH. I have made more than 15g on the 3 patterns. Not a bad return on 90s.

If you can get the pattern, do so, even if you do not do leatherworking. Make loads of money on it.

On my server these sell for about 10g idk how it only sells for 4g..Jeeze mats for this are 6g min.
I got lucky my friend made these for me for Free...I like the heals. Saved me alot..

This would be a possible item, except for everyone hording the pearls required.. 2.5g for ONE pearl! --- need a better drop rate on it, thats for sure

DE's to Large Glowing shard so either sell for 3-5g or give to enchanting alt and sell +5 (2H) or +3 (Melee) enchantment for 4-5g (possibly get a skill point for each character too)

The pattern for this item is not a drop but bought off a merchant in Booty Bay, but is a limited number one. I just made my first one last night, YAY!

I used it for a while but it really isn't the best. I thing that just using potions are a lot better but if the boosts fit in with your class and you're willing to wait an hour just for for one heal I'm not trying to stop you

You simply right click on it. I linked it on one of my bars and just right click it when needed. It's really nice fighting multiple mobs by yourself and have already used a potion.
