This dropped for me off of a Venture Co. Tinkerer. I seemed to have better luck with that than getting it off an Engineering supplier or the A.H.

I was wondering if those limited-stock items were linked between every sellers. I went to several places, no Gyrochromatom but a few other limited items. I went to Wetlands, bought 1x Copper Modulator (limited), then went to another engineer, no Copper Modulator (and I doubt someone bought one before I got to the second engineer, since it was Fradd Swiftgear).

It seems limited-stock items are all linked together, therefore it would be useless to travel all around the world to try to buy one...

I looked in IF, SW, and the one in the middle of wetlands and couldnt find it. I realize it is supposed to be limited supply but I think they might not be for sale anymore.

In five or six tries, I was never able to find this in IF anywhere, but Loslor Rudge had one in his inventory on the second visit (27S). I never saw one for sale at the AH and I am hearthstoned to IF, so I spend the evenings and mornings there.

When you give this to what's-his-name, he summons a 45 elemental that you must kill; be prepared. The watch is lots of fun and works great. Druids should realize this doesn't stack on Travel Form and also doesn't work while shapeshifted, so it's not that much use but how many cool trinkets are there anyway? Also, I got 5400XP at lvl 50, so that's not all bad for a little running around.

I was reading the comments down here and I did search for an engineer to make me that watch.
Didnt get any reply. Then I went to AH and what do ya know...they were selling it there by the dozens.
Got it for 40s.

One Gold Power Core = 33s 33c (round to 35).
One Bar of Iron = 20s

Gyrochronatom ("friend" price) = 55s.

Technically, it's "free" if you're a miner.

I've had these go in a matter of minutes in AH for 3g each, making me wonder how much I should really be putting them in AH for.

I think the list is out-dated. I went to all neutral/horde vendors on the list except the ones in azshara and winterspring (I am level 47) and none of them had this item.

I know there's a timer on the limited supply items, but I traveled to all these places in the span of an hour or two searching for it, and not a single vendor had it. Some of the listings are outdated because the npcs dont even sell items such as the one listed in Ferelas.

The cheapest one on my server is about four gold so I'm going to hold out until someone puts up a cheaper one.

Lol. I think I eas fishing after a fish in the quest to get up to 300 fishing in Felaras than I got a package / box in the water. I opened it and there it was one. :)

There are a few vendors (as listed above) that sell them, but if your on Alexstraza realm (like me), then they are snatched up right away to sell at AH.

I haven't found one yet, but around 30s at a vendor sounds like the norm. Otherwise, in the AH they're selling for 1-2g each! Keep checking the vendors, they normally have a respawn rate of 30 minutes or so for limited supply items.

Ive been checking the vendors that suposedly sells this for 3 hs cd's. No freaking respawn whatsoever :S

And either all the engineers died ar stopped playin wow/rerolled profs or im just having bad luck.

FYI: Neal Allen, the Engineering and General Goods Supplier in Menethil Keep was selling 1 for 27 silver. (Turn left then left again when inside the keep entrance) 27 silver! Bargain! Hehe

I whent to many vendors, including the hard to get to ones like Tink Sprocketwhistle in Gnomer and Gnaz and Kanz Blunderflame in the middle of nowhere STV. I also tried the Engineering and General Goods Supplier in Menethil Keep. All with no luck. I think Blizz may have removed this from all vendors and we now can only get it from other players. I hate quest like this. Got to stand arond in SW for hours saying "LF eng to make gyrochronatom, have mats will tip (more the the quest is worth)" :(

Been well over an hour and nothing.
Someone bought , it respawned about half hour after it was bought, and , it respawned about 15 minutes after it was bought.

I never was able to find one in Cogspinner's inventory after 5 tries. But I got one from Loslor Rudge (outside Kharanos) the second time I went to visit, for 27S.

A fun gadget and 4750XP at lvl 50 (took me a long time to find out about and finish this quest!).

Druids should keep in mind that this has the same effect as Travel Form but only for 10 seconds, of course. It won't work while shapeshifted, so forget about a swift bear.

But how many trinkets are there? Not many this cool.

If vendors still stock this, it is so rare that it's useless. If you want to do the quest you will have to pay the usurious prices extorted by player engineers.

Well... better pack a lunch if you're going to camp any of the engineer vendors for the gyro. It took me 5 hours to finally get this piece from the engineer vendor in Orgrimar. I noticed that the vendor changes his stock every hours (in my case, on the half-hour mark).

The good news is... they still carry it.

This is only taught by Artisan or Master Engineers, so you won't be able to train this in Undercity or Stormwind.

To get Nifty Stopwatch, you need to complete:

Gyro... What? requires Gyrochronatom.
Coolant Heads Prevail requires Frost Oil.
Study of the Elements: Rock by killing Lesser Rock Elemental for Small Stone Shard.
Study of the Elements: Rock by killing Rock Elemental for Large Stone Slab.
Study of the Elements: Rock by killing Greater Rock Elemental for Bracers of Rock Binding.
This unlocks This Is Going to Be Hard which leads to This Is Going to Be Hard which awards Nifty Stopwatch.

Keep in mind, the quest items drop off of specific mobs, so don't kill the other ones when you're doing each quest.

You can complete the other optional item turn in quests for Lucien Tosselwrench, but this is not necessary to complete the chain:

Liquid Stone requires Healing Potion and Lesser Invisibility Potion.
Stone Is Better than Cloth requires Patterned Bronze Bracers.

Don't believe Questy if it tells you to go to Stonetalon Mountains, the harvesters there which are only summoned by certain enemies cannot be looted and therefore cannot possbily drop this item!
